Had fun and wanted to give a thank you to Enrique for walking my kid through the rope course! He didn't have to but he did and it was a fear she overcame thanks to him. Will was very helpful too!
I ate at BLVD twice while I was in Bakersfield and also spent some time playing games there. Overall, the experience was mixed. The food was good both times, and the prices were fair for what you get, which is definitely a plus and the main reason for the three-star rating. Unfortunately, the service at the bar really took away from the experience. Both bartenders I interacted with came across as rude and lacked basic customer service skills. There was very little friendliness or acknowledgment, and it felt like customers were more of a bother than a priority. It’s disappointing because the food, prices, and atmosphere have potential to make this a great spot to eat and hang out. With improved customer service—especially behind the bar—this place could be much better. As it stands now, it’s an okay experience, but the service keeps it from being truly enjoyable.
Our experience at The Blvd was extremely frustrating. What should have been a fun night turned into a complete waste of time due to their broken AI bowling lane reservation system and poor customer service. We waited over an hour just to bowl. When we finally received a text saying our lane was ready, we followed the instructions and got in line. To avoid any confusion, we spoke with three different employees, and all of them told us to stay in line and wait. After all that waiting and doing exactly what we were told, we were then informed that our lane had been given away and that we’d need to wait another 30 minutes. There was no apology, no ownership of the mistake—just an expectation to wait even longer. It was incredibly frustrating and made us feel like our time didn’t matter. The system failed, communication failed, and we were the ones left paying for it. What was supposed to be a fun outing became stressful and disappointing. This experience seriously makes us think twice about coming back.
My daughter’s birthday party at The BLVD on 12/13/25 ended with an unacceptable and unprofessional situation created entirely by staff. At the conclusion of the event, the party host and shift manager accused me of having nine additional people bowling and attempted to charge me an extra $350. No one could verify the count, no proof was provided, and no effort was made to review cameras, lane usage, or guest lists to support the claim. When I asked to resolve the issue, the shift manager refused to speak with me further and instead addressed guests who were not on the contract and had no authority over the event. That behavior alone shows a serious lack of professionalism and training. Later that evening, the event manager called me, apologized, and stated that I would be receiving compensation due to how the situation was handled. Since then, management has gone completely silent. Every call I’ve made goes straight to voicemail, and no one has followed up as promised. This is not about the money — it’s about being falsely accused, dismissed, and then ignored after an apology was given. Families deserve transparency, accountability, and follow-through, especially when hosting children’s events. Management: please respond and resolve this issue. Ignoring it only reinforces the concerns raised here.
We have lunch there and we order fish and chips very good, we go back the next day my boy friend get a beer it was good to and we order the turkey club sandwich and it was delicious. I truly recommend this place. ;)
