I absolutely LOVE this place! My book club and I love coming here for our book club meetings. You pay $15 per person to reserve a seat and you get a drink and snacks with it! The owners and all the staff are amazing and will help you find the perfect book to read! Also a great place to come play some board games or even just read in the back!

The Book Lounge is a newer spot in downtown St. Pete and an excellent choice for a relaxed, low-key date night. They specialize in romance and fantasy books and pair that with a cozy lounge space where you can read, play board games, and enjoy charcuterie, coffee, or wine. They also offer “blind date” books, which adds a fun, unexpected element if you enjoy discovering new reads. For Christmas, I bought my wife a gift card specifically so she could pick out any books she wanted, then took her there for a date. We shared the charcuterie for two and a bottle of wine, and they were happy to accommodate her gluten allergy with gluten-free crackers and careful attention to avoiding cross-contamination. She absolutely loved the experience and spent the rest of the day talking about it and sending photos to her book-loving friends. If you’re looking for a thoughtful date idea or a unique gift experience for someone who loves romance or fantasy, The Book Lounge is a must-stop and something a little different from the usual night out.

Beautiful bookstore. It’s popular and usually crowded - I came at opening time and was finally able to take some pictures. The latte was delicious.

Came to visit this bookstore with my besties on a Saturday. Yes it was a bit crowded but that didn't take away from the experience for us. Especially, because we knew this place is still new. That being said this place is a slice of heaven. Their display style for the books is impossible not to just stand and stare at; it's almost hypnotizing! The rest of the space is absolutely beautiful. Staff is so friendly and very helpful. Great selection of wines, coffee, and teas. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Wonderful bookstore with a wine and coffee bar. It was a bit busy but enjoyed visiting. Recommend adding this to your independent bookstore list!
