I moved to Austin over 2 years ago with extensions already needing a move up and no hair dresser in sight. This is when I found my hair angel, Caitlyn. Not only is Caitlyn the best hairdresser I have had throughout multiple states, but she truly became a friend as well. Caitlyn offers amazing extension work, personalized to what will work best for not only your hair, but your lifestyle. Book with Caitlyn whether you need amazing color, a good ole chop, some fabulous extensions, or simple a therapy session. I cannot recommend Caitlyn enough!!

I’ve been seeing Caitlyn at The Collective for about six months now and I honestly can’t recommend her enough. I started with extensions then came back regularly for move ups and every appointment has been flawless. Most recently she took my extensions out before a trip to Hawaii and did a Brazilian blowout along with a fresh new color and my hair has never looked or felt better. She’s incredibly skilled thoughtful and consistent and on top of that she has the best personality. She’s warm fun easy to talk to and makes every appointment something I genuinely look forward to. Hands down the best hairdresser in Austin.

I moved to Austin a few years ago and was nervous about finding a hairstylist I could trust. I kept hearing great things about this salon, booked an appointment, and ended up finding a place I’ve stayed loyal to for three years now. My stylist (Caitlyn) is truly one of a kind. She is direct, transparent, and incredibly thoughtful. She listens closely, values my input, and offers honest guidance without ever pushing her own agenda. I always feel supported and informed. Her expertise speaks for itself. Extensions are not easy to do well, and she consistently nails it. I have also on more than one occasion managed to mess up my hair 😂 and her patience through it all deserves a special mention. She is accommodating and genuinely invested in making sure her clients feel good and love their hair. Beyond the talent, she is just a great human. Over time, she has become a real friend, and that says a lot about both her and the environment this salon creates. The salon itself is phenomenal, and I know so many people who go here and feel the same way. I am super grateful I found Caitlyn and this salon when I did. The talent, integrity, and warmth here are rare, and I would not go anywhere else!

Caitlin is honestly such a blessing! When I came to her my hair was in desperate need of recovery. I had been cycling through a few different stylists and wasn't finding the right balance. My hair is naturally very dark and yet I've been going very blonde for almost my entire adult life. This has led to major breakage and discoloration. I was also having to replace my extensions multiple times a year and having to re-do installs way more frequently than I would have liked. Since going to Caitlin, my hair has grown significantly - to the point where I don't want to scream when I look at myself in the mirror without my extensions! My color looks more natural and doesn't cause breakage or turn copper. My extensions are going strong at nearly 10 months and I'm able to extend my installs by an extra month! I could not be happier with my experience!

I've been coming to The Collective for years and it is the best around. Highly recommend. Not only is everyone there wonderful, but they are the best in extensions (and I've had plenty of experience). I get extensions and color from Tiffany, cuts, and smoothing treatments (Laura, Caitlin), and most recently got the ice therapy treatment which repairs and smooths hair using subzero passes to lock in the nutrients and shine leaving your hair frizz-free. My daughter also goes for her cuts and loves it (to Caitlin). My favorite thing besides the extensions though is the color. Tiffany does my favorite color I have ever had in a salon. She covers my gray perfectly and when I have gone a little darker it has never been too dark. Just perfect. Anyway I recommend!
