I was gifted a Groupon for a facial, from the beginning when calling to schedule it seems unorganized - or maybe like the staff was inexperienced or new? I’m local, but don’t frequent Lake Las Vegas so I called 15 min before my appt to get more detailed directions/location info. No answer. I got to the Hilton early and tried calling again, no answer. Long story short, I was never able to get assistance and being that I’ve worked in service industry for a while, the receptionist should be polished, well presented and provide an elevated experience. The girl at the front did not. I would never pay full price for any services at this spa. As for Groupon - you get what you pay for lol. Facial was OK, she basically squeezed my nose and put lotion on my face while applying pressure. I see why it’s so dead in there.
A Birthday Spa Experience Gone Wrong: A Cautionary Tale My intention was to treat my mom to a relaxing birthday massage on June 14th, booked through Groupon, but unfortunately, the experience at this spa was far from the celebratory and rejuvenating escape we'd hoped for. From the initial booking to the final pickup, communication issues, unexpected charges, and facility shortcomings plagued our visit, culminating in a deeply disappointing experience for my mom. When I first called to schedule the appointment, I was informed that the jacuzzi and steam room were out of order, with the alternative being the pool and sauna. While not ideal, I accepted this. However, I was then told about an unexpected $30 out-of-pocket service charge for the massage therapist, which was not disclosed on the Groupon. Again, I agreed, wanting my mom to have her special day. Upon dropping my mom off, a rather unsettling incident occurred. As I was leaving, the receptionist chased me down to inform me that my card didn't work. My bank had temporarily locked it due to unusual activity, and despite my immediate reassurance that I would resolve it and pick up my mom, her demeanor suggested a lack of trust, implying I wouldn't return. This interaction left a sour taste and added unnecessary stress. Two and a half hours later, I picked up my mom, only to hear a litany of complaints about her "bad experience." While she acknowledged the facility itself was nice, the core service—the massage—was a significant letdown. She reported that the massage therapist applied virtually no pressure, making the session ineffective and unsatisfying. Furthermore, she was unable to secure her belongings because the lockers lacked keys, a basic amenity one expects at a spa. Following her massage, my mom was directed to a room where she was left completely unattended, seeing no staff for an extended period. This lack of post-service care and attention highlighted a pervasive issue: the communication within this establishment is undeniably horrible. To add insult to injury, as she was preparing to leave, my mom noticed that the jacuzzi and steam sauna were suddenly operational, after being told they were out of order earlier. This inconsistency further solidified our negative impression. Given the multitude of issues—hidden fees, unprofessional staff interactions, non-functional amenities, a disappointing massage, and abysmal communication—I strongly advise against booking any services here. There are countless other spas that offer a truly professional and relaxing experience. Do not book anything here; there are so many more options available that will undoubtedly provide a much better experience.
It's a real shame what has happened to this place; used to be a favorite. The massages will be hit and miss like usual, based on your masuese. My wife and I both had very nice swedish massages recently that had better pressure than we expected. No complaints on the massages and the price of the Groupon. The Groupon makes this place still a value for the massages if you get a good one. That said, the beautiful facility is in disrepair and has been that way for what seems like years. This time around, the hot tub and steamroom were not working, and havent been for some time. Even the lockers are non functional; you either risk your valuables in lockers that don't lock, or give them to the staff to hold for you. What?! The staff has given into the apathy of the place, and isn't very professional or helpful. The place isn't well stocked with towels or snacks. We opted to use the outdoor pool for a few hours. It's a fantastic space with a nearby food and drink bar. The barkeep was not very friendly however, which fits the overall vibe. Pool was clean and temp was just right for the hot weather. Barely anyone there and the pool closes at 6pm. Again, what?! Overall this place WAS good, but now mostly feels abandoned. I would love to know what's really going on here as it's a wonderful spot that is being underutilized and poorly maintained. I still recommend the massages if you get the Groupon rate, but with everything else considered you'll likely have a better time paying more somewhere else. Vegas is not short on excellent spas.
Stayed here for my birthday. It was eerily empty throughout the entire resort. Went and had a massage and they refused to give me the mimosa. No idea why. They just said it’s because I didn’t have the Groupon? I’m a paying costumer at the resort and I don’t get a mimosa? So weird. The massage itself was “okay” but rushed. The spa (healing waters) was under construction and empty. Could only use the sauna room which had no coals. And the steam room which was fine. But very disappointing experience truthfully.
I called in advance to request a strong massage therapist, and the receptionist assured me the receptionist assigned to me had strong arms. At the start of my appointment with Mayra (?), I again told her that I liked it really hard, and she affirmed that it would be firm pressure. It was totally soft, no pressure, and not much of a massage at all, no effective results on my muscles. She never asked how the pressure was. My friend came with me and had the same experience with her massage therapist. I've gotten better massages at much cheaper spas, and this place is supposed to be $160+ full price. I would say it was a waste of money. Also odd was there was a portable fan running the whole time. The whole massage was very disappointing. We only saw 1 other person the whole day at the spa, very quiet atmosphere. There were other minor things with the spa attendant that I won't mention but did relay to Hilton customer service. I kept smelling gas at the pool. The pool attendant said he's called maintenance a few times but they have no explanation, that the smell is nothing to worry about. It was concerning. We moved to the furthest corner of the pool from the building, and I didn't smell it there except a whiff for a brief moment.
