It's empty more often than not. Full of expensive national chains that can be loss leaders that have forced locally owned businesses to leave due to inflated rent. Most of the empty spaces are restaurants that didn't make it. Better restaurants, more locals and better choices along Central Ave. These chains pay employees and that's it....no other benefit to St Pete other than that since most big chains have armies of accountants to pay as little tax as possible using strategies out of reach to local small business owners. (I'm a local tax accountant together with my wife, feel free to look me up and reach out). I'd rather eat and shop where the owner is on site, not sitting in a corner office looking at spreadsheets and gimicks like "sizzling butter steaks" or $250 "beach shirts". Bring back the local businesses, add some local live music and you might get locals like me to come out and see what's up. Or keep doing what you're doing and it will continue to be a dead zone as you go by it. Until then, I'll be happy to stay on Central for my business location and personal shopping and eating & will probably still be here after most of your tenants have dissolved five times over and ran back to their headquarters. If you're local, reading this and need tax help or strategies, look me up...my wife and I are here to help you compete against these chains, and if you've suffered because of this, lost job, etc... reach out to us...we've been known to help our neighbors in need for free...even got recognized by the White House a couple years ago for doing over 5,000 free tax returns across our city. We love you, St. Pete & are here for you for as long as we breathe. See you in our city, just not in Sundial!

Baywalk was a bustling third space for St. Pete the first decade it was open. Live music, a line for movie tickets, retail shopping, ice cream store, affordable restaurants for families. Now slimy private equity ownership has turned it into a shell and gave it a tacky wannabe South FL ”luxury” vibe. But half the storefronts are still empty. I’m sure it’s the unrealistic rent prices that scare businesses away, which doesn't help our local economy. Not to mention there’s no parking validation for movies while they surge price the main garage for special events. Greed keeps Sundial a graveyard.

Very nice place to visit. The food was fresh and the mall was decorated nicely. Went after Thanksgiving break and they even did some artificial snow for the kids. Ruth's Chris is always good.

This place is GORGEOUS! I want to come back as much as possible! It's MUST SEE if you are in the area! I absolutely loved it here. Very rich part of town, with expensive things. But we came here and barely spent anything, just came for the beautiful pictures we were able to take. Also, there was a huge line trying to get glasses for the Solar Eclipse!!! So cool
