I was charged for a tire disposal fee but I did not have any old tires that were disposed. I brought new tires in to be mounted to wheels that were bare.
We experienced a code on our Chevy Trax and pulled into Tirechoice off Clairmont Mesa Blv. Sean, Assistant Manager, was very helpful and caring, inspecting the tires. Grateful for his kindness, knowledge, and experience. Thank you Sean! God bless you.
Tire service was good. Then they tried to scam me by saying my rear brakes were completely worn out and that repairing them would be $1200. Didn’t put up much of a fuss when I declined. It seemed more like a shrug of acknowledgement that I wasn’t going to fall for their scam.
Don’t even bother wasting your time here got here at 9 o’clock. No one showed up till 0930. What type of brand name tire shop doesn’t have universal wheel locks. Do better!
Had a tire with a slow leak so I came in and ended up getting 4 new tires. They estimated 1 hour but it took 2– not a big deal since I had my laptop and did some remote work from the shop. I got my car back and checked the pressure of the tires on the dash— all good. I drove out of the parking lot, but when I reached the highway, my car alerted me that there was a “tire pressure sensor fault” and one of the tire sensors wasn’t reading the pressure. I thought maybe it was like an oil change where the sensor would need to be reset or something, not major, so i didn’t come back in right away. Today i went in (a little over a week since i got the new tires) and was told that the sensor is “bad” and would need to be replaced. I was confused since the sensor wasn’t “bad” when I came in and only started malfunctioning when I left the shop. The manager, PJ, chalked it up to a coincidence that the sensor died right after I got the tires replaced. He asked why I didn’t come in or call right away but I explained that I thought it would be a quick reset, not a whole sensor replacement. The manager continued to be defensive and shifting the blame to me without trying to come up with a solution for repairing/replacing the sensor. At the very least, I would have paid for the repair so I didn’t go on my way with a tire sensor hazard, but the manager seemed more intent on being right than helping me solve my issue. I left Tire Choice Auto Service Center with a blinking/beeping tire hazard and was aggravated by how unprofessional the interaction was.
