I had the most amazing experience with Lee going through the streets of Ottawa.. A stroll through the City's rich history...getting to know of people like Oscar Peterson and Terry Fox. I had goosebumps (not because of the weather) but because of the sheer grandeur, as I stood head bowed at the National War Memorial and the monument of the indigenous tribal contribution to Canadian armed forces... Witnessed so much art along our walk, starting from murals, to graffities, to little and large art installations along the way.. The grand Maman, and the cute dancing bear will be etched in my heart, as will be the mural titled illumination. The walk around Parliament Hill, and the endlessly beautiful parks, the sight of the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica was more special with the stories that Lee shared with me along the way. Did I say, the best part was that I was alone today? So I got a full private tour. This is an amazing way to experience the city.. I would highly recommend anyone new to the city, or even the ones who live here, to take a day and dive in to the history of Ottawa. Because this 200 year old place is beaming in richness.

Lucky for me I was the only participant during my tour, so I got to ask a lot of questions and learn about Ottawa and Canada! Tro was a great guide - he told me a lot of history about Ottawa and the locations we went through. I liked how he pointed out his personal favourites (murals and sculptures) during the tour. Overall great experience.

I had a thorough and in-depth tour bout monuments and buildings around Ottawa. I’m so happy to have Li (I forgot to ask how to spell his name) to be my tourist. He had not only introduced the history of the country and city but also discussed beyond the tour and helped me understand more about the country and the values Canadian have through history. It’s a wonderful experience!

The itinerary of the Ottawa walking tour is nice. However, the guide was not very professional. She kept looking at her notes and reading directly from it. False information was given sometimes and she had to correct herself. She mentioned she’s been living in Ottawa for 16 years but then she mixed up the war museum and history museum lol. Lack of interaction caused us to lose interest in the tour. We were expecting a lively tour instead of reading the info board by ourselves. The part about Fairmont Hotel is kinda weird. The whole group of ten just walked in and browsed through the lobby. I felt like we’re in everyone’s way. A concerning thing is the tour guide led us to cross the road at red light and even j walking during the tour. I don’t think that’s an appropriate way especially there’re tourists from the other countries in the tour.

Our expert tour guide Ibrahim arrived early, with red umbrella as advertised. I enjoyed getting to know him along with getting to know Ottawa. Ibrahim spoke clearly and confidently. His walking pace was appropriate for our group. The tour itinerary gave us a good sense of Ottawa's diversity. Ibrahim made himself available to answer our questions, and when he did not know something, he admitted so and found the answer for us. Both Ibrahim and Ottawa are now dear to my heart.
