They was able to REBUILD TRANSMISSION and they Replaced TCM on my 2016 Tahoe and everything was fixed and turn around time was quick and communication was on point. If you have any problems reached out to them.
I’ve been dealing with transmission issues on my 2015 Chevy Tahoe since 2021, when I first had the transmission replaced. Over the past 4 years, my truck has been in and out of the shop more than 20 times, each visit lasting 2 to 4 weeks. Despite all this, the transmission continued to slip while stopped and shift hard from 3rd to 2nd gear. I was repeatedly told: The torque converter was bad—it’s been replaced over 10 times. The issue was due to bad mechanics, but I was assured a new tech would resolve it. I dealt with 4 different individuals and multiple techs across both locations. Three weeks ago, I dropped my truck off again and spoke with the person I’ve been working with for the past two years. After a week, I was told my vehicle had not been serviced properly under warranty. I was shocked—how could that be after so many visits and torque converter replacements? I was told it didn’t matter. After a 30-minute discussion, he agreed to fix the issue but said he wouldn’t make money from the repair and asked me to help pay. I refused, and he finally agreed to fix it—but said my warranty would be void. I picked up my truck this past Saturday. I was told a mechanic would ride with me to confirm the fix—that didn’t happen. Then I was hit with a $510 charge for the TCM, which apparently wasn’t covered by the warranty. I asked to speak to the owner multiple times and was refused. I was told, “Don’t contact us again.” To top it off, every time I picked up my truck, it was returned with an empty gas tank—even this last time. When I asked about it, I was told, “How did you think cars drive? They need gas.” Unbelievable. I have messages and written statements backing up everything I’ve said, including one that reads: “Wow, you’ve been very patient with us. I would probably handle things differently if I were in your shoes.” I’ve tried to be respectful and patient. All I ever wanted was a properly functioning transmission—not 4 years of frustration and financial burden. I wonder if the owner will reach out to discuss, if not.. oh well.. lesson learned from me. Even though I was treated like trash, I won't lower my standards and mention all names that were involved.
Stay away from this place specially if you are a WOMAN! I took my 2012 Dodge Journey to this place because the gears weren’t working properly. I left it on May 13,2025 so they could do a proper diagnostic and let me know what I was looking at. Took them over a week to get me a quote and that’s because I had to go in person because no one would bother calling me back. I spoke to Gabe twice & assured me he would return my call, lair. They said my car needed the solenoid replaced and quoted me $800. They also said it would take 2-3 days max as it was considered a “Minor repair”. After I agreed that same day May 20th. I was supposed to pick it up ready to go Tuesday after Memorial Day. Wasn’t ready. Again I had to go in person to find out what the hold up was. Was told they had made the replacement but couldn’t get my car to turn on. Then later that week I was told they got it to turn on but the parts they had just installed must had been bad because it wasn’t working properly still that they were waiting on another new set. THEN it turned out that the transmission was still giving them problems and was told they needed to take it out, open it & see what was going on. After weeks of having it there I was told the transmission needed to be replaced and was given a quote of $2400. I said NO, i want it put back how it was. I had to tow my truck back home when I actually DROVE IT MYSELF TO THEM. They gave it back to me IN MUCH WORSE SHAPE than when I left it. Now it won’t drive forward only on reverse. I would urge you to stay AWAY from this place. They don’t keep their word, they give you the run around & end up messing up your vehicle more than how it is when dropping it off. My car is home now (June 5th) and not drivable.
I can’t say enough great things about TX Transmission Repair! My car’s transmission was having serious issues, and they diagnosed and repaired it quickly and efficiently. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything in detail. The pricing was fair, and they even went above and beyond to ensure my car was running smoothly before returning it to me. If you’re looking for honest and skilled mechanics, this is the place to go! Highly recommend!
Tx Transmission is the absolute Truth. Gabe, Johnny and Pop did a great job on my Tahoe. Performance stage 2 rebuild with everything it needed to live up to its potential. It's been a long time since I've been to a shop that actually does what they say they'll do.
