Helena at Unicorn Hair Queen is amazing!! During the virtual consult she was very transparent with the price breakdown and during the actual appointment she made sure I knew exactly what she was doing with my hair. I got a full highlight and color melt and would 1000% recommend her for hair color needs!

Got a beautiful full highlight from Helena today and it was amazing. She’s so skilled and listened to my concerns. The final was better than could have hoped. 100% recommend Unicorn and Helena!

The worst hair cut and dye of my life. The hair cut is horribly uneven - several inches different from left to right sides. The “face framing” has missing chunks. I haven’t seen the back. I had been dyeing my roots for years. But I’m now trying to embrace my gray. I didn’t want to go through years of transition with a gradually lengthening skunk stripe. Where it’s gray at the top, I want that hair to be gray for the entire length. Where it’s soft brown at the base, I wanted it soft brown. Where it’s salt and pepper in between I wanted salt and pepper. I went to another salon and the stylist bleached all of my hair. Not what I wanted. Yesterday morning I had beige hair with gray growing out on the top and brown at the base of my neck. I explained that I wanted the length of my hair to match my roots. The stylist mixed the dye and started applying to the hair growing from the base. Then she started applying it to the top where my hair was gray, although not the gray roots. I said, “what are you doing????” She said “this is your natural color.” I said, “my natural color here is gray!!” Another person came to “consult”. She said, “you just have to let it grow out.” The stylist applied the dye unevenly. My hair is now grey, tan, beige and Dollar Tree dark brown. A balayage and highlighting is what I expected - not the blotchy mess that i have now.
