I wish I could go back in time and warn myself to not ever come here. At the time I started seeing Vera just over a year ago, I didn’t see the other bad reviews - unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of the same experiences as them. Vera is not cheap - she charges anywhere from $2k - $3k+ per session depending on your hair, extensions, color services etc. out of a desire to just finally feel feminine and wanting to be happy with what I saw in the mirror I jumped in. At the time, I didn’t know how badly she was ripping me off, and I was charmed by her very warm personality. Like other reviewers, if you have any concerns about your hair or want any transparency about where she is getting her extensions, she will get very nasty very quickly. If you ask for receipts on what she paid for the extensions or a breakdown of costs, she will resist you. Unfortunately, that is because her hair is very low quality and she’s severely overcharging her clients - and she knows it. Unfortunately, continued services with Vera badly damaged my already fine hair. We had many discussions about my concerns, and I babied my extensions and my hair to the letter because I had invested so much money into the services. I used all the product she recommended and all the brushes she wanted me to use. I wore a bonnet when sleeping, had all the right pillowcases and protected my extensions from unnecessary water and tension. And yet every time she took my extensions out (to replace them), my hair looked worse and worse. I started with fine hair just past the shoulders to looking like a cancer patient with hair breaking off. And when I sat there and cried in her chair feeling small, Vera could not have been colder. Still, I was dumb and allowed Vera to continue touching my hair. From that point Vera would dodge appointment requests, cancel them last minute, and slowly stopped responding to any texts. She started having her assistants doing MOST of the appointments while still charging me FULL PRICE in the thousands. I noticed that Vera’s work began getting worse and worse, like she was phoning it in with me. Going to her salon began feeling like getting bullied by a mean girl. As to be expected from someone still learning, the assistant’s work varied from mediocre to downright atrocious. The option to not have the apprentice work on me was ignored. Finally, after an appointment where the apprentice did half of my head, and Vera did the other, it was painfully obvious before I even left the salon that my head looked like it was colored and styled by two different people. I debated saying anything to her because I was so nervous about upsetting someone who had so much power over my hair. I did not ask for a refund. I asked Vera if she would correct the other half of my head that the assistant worked on. She ignored me and my follow ups for two weeks before ending our almost 18 month relationship saying she can’t make me happy and good luck. I felt so embarrassed and so angry - I don’t think I’ve had another girl make me feel this small and stupid since middle school. Ultimately through some research, I realized that her prices were astronomically high and a complete rip off. I did end up finding somebody nearby who did a much better job than her, completed the service and half the time, and my sessions are only $850. Every time she removes my extensions, my hair is starting to grow and looks a lot healthier. The stylist also told me that she hates what Vera does to people, but she feels conflicted because she gets so much business from fixing Vera’s mistakes. I know this was a long read, and there is sadly so much more than I can say, but I hope that this will save someone a lot of money and heartache.

Vera is really special, she was my first and purposefully remains my only, experience with extensions. My time with her from day one has been exceptional, I feel she truly listens to concerns and lends advice as needed. She is so well versed in what she does and the final result speaks for itself. An incredibly talented and wonderful person, lucky to have found her.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Rarely write reviews but I need all my ladies to know - Vera is simply the best. I have been dealing with stress hair loss for years and when I see it getting thinner, it stresses me out more, causing more hair loss! I have been seeing Vera for the last three years and I can honestly say my hair is thicker and the healthiest it's ever been - and I feel so beautiful with my long hair. No more stress! Not to mention the color - she does an incredible French balayage on me that grows out so naturally, I only need to get colored once a year. She is extremely knowledgable and I always leave feeling pampered. If you've been debating getting extensions, DO IT!! I can't recommend enough going to see Vera and trying them out.

The stylist and owner, Vera, is an absolute pro. Her attention to detail and precision in matching the extensions to my natural hair color and texture were spot-on. I have a really difficult (dark, dirty blonde) hair color that lifts orange that many stylists have messed up even with my warning. Not only did Vera seamlessly blend the extensions, but she also took the time to educate me on proper maintenance and care to ensure longevity and health for my hair. My hair color came out perfect after the balayage! And let me just say, it's like she has a magic wand! The color was exactly what I had envisioned, if not better. Vera truly has an eye for color and a talent for creating dimension and depth that’s on point! She listened to my personal style and preferences, and ended up with the most perfect blond that suits me perfectly.I chose someone that is certified for my peace of mind knowing that I'm in capable hands. It’s obvious that Vera’s dedicated to staying up to date on the latest techniques and trends in the industry and is passionate about her craft and continually invests in her education and skill development.

Vera has been my wonderful stylist for years. She's so talented, sweet and professional. She's very knowledgeable; and has kept my hair so healthy throughout the many changes I've done to it. I highly recommend Vera if you're looking for a brilliant hair stylist.
