My kids had the best experiences at piano summer camps at Vibrant Valley. They had no prior piano knowledge as they started but at the end of the camps they were able to play more than a dozen songs and read simple notes. Now they are enrolled in weekly lessons and they really enjoy them. Ms. Leah is a brilliant and inspiring music instructor. She is kind and patient. She knows how to connect with young students and make the learning journey so much fun!

A Musical Home for All Ages Vibrant Music Studio is exactly what its name promises—a lively, welcoming space where music comes alive and community is quietly, powerfully built. Leah has created something truly special here. As a teacher, she blends structure with creativity in a way that inspires both kids and adults to keep showing up, growing, and having fun. The adult group lessons are a highlight. In just 50 minutes, we move through four thoughtfully designed segments: sight reading (which Leah checks in on personally), a jazz ensemble session that gets everyone grooving, a chance to explore solo improvisation, and private practice time to go deeper. There’s a strong emphasis on rhythm and harmony—but even stronger is the sense of belonging. Leah somehow makes every student feel seen and supported, no matter their level. She meets you where you are and nudges you forward. The studio doesn’t just teach music—it fosters confidence, connection, and joy. Leah Drake is the teacher and creator of Vibrant Valley Music Studio where I now attend. I put my granddaughter in her school 2 years ago and then recently discovered that she also has small group lessons for adults. I had always enjoyed playing the piano for recreation but didn't want to take solo lessons that come with a lot of practice pressure. These group sessions are just what I wanted. Leah does an amazing job with her music business; and the concept of Recreational Music Making is brilliant.

Leah is such a talented teacher. My daughter loves playing the piano, has began to write music, and can’t wait for class every week. Leah has found a unique way to get the most out of kids while making her lessons fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend taking a look at her studio. You won’t be disappointed!
