As a Buddhist who had recently arrived in Leeds as a student, I was earnestly seeking a Buddhist monastery where I could offer my prayers and seek blessings. Fortunately, by the grace of Lord Buddha, I discovered the esteemed Wat Buddharam Monastery! I felt truly blessed when I visited for the first time. I was fortunate to meet a nun (Bhikkuni) and had a very insightful conversation with her, and we received her blessings. I also had the opportunity to meet a professor and engage in a delightful discussion. I returned to the monastery on another occasion to attend the evening chanting, which was a profoundly moving experience. I prayed fervently to Lord Buddha and received blessings from the monks present. I feel incredibly blessed and fortunate to have found such a magnificent monastery.

Very friendly and accommodating. They provided us with REAL Thai food last time I went there with my wife. It was delcious and a good chance to speak Thai again.

Not actually been but... I have as a ‘friend’ on FB and share posts from monk ‘buddharam’ with my wife. As she and my son come to England soon and I tend to have much of my UK based IT work in Leeds, she said she will love to come here for tham bun and prayer. It does look a beautiful building set in spacious quiet grounds.
