Very happy with my experience with Maree, she did a great job with my waxing, but most importantly, she was gentle. I nearly fell asleep on the waxing table! 10/10 for Maree!
I would sell my soul for Katelyn. They have been more than amazing and always make me feel so welcome. Having ASD, I often find appointments awkward and uncomfortable as I feel the need to make conversation. This is never, ever my experience at Ology. My 40-minute appointments feel like 5, as she is just that good and prides themselves in inclusivity. I always have such a lovely conversation with beautiful Katelyn. When my friend had hip surgery, I spoke to Katelyn about accommodations to enable my friend to come in and treat herself, as she couldn't get up on the table. This friend has been a client ever since. My partner has also been to Katelyn and had nothing but praise. I tell everyone I know about Ology. In addition to just how comfortable I feel here, Katelyn absolutely cooks with my eyebrows and skin every single time. Thank you 🥰
If Waxology was a person, they would be the perfect mix of efficient professional and cool girl, with genuine old-friend vibes that make every visit so comfortable. I’ve been a long-term client and have always found Katelyn’s team to deliver high quality services. If you’re looking for a place where you can build a great long-term relationship with your beautician, Waxology is your girl.
I have very sensitive skin, and finding the right place for waxing has always been a challenge. But at Ology, Annabelle made the entire experience so comfortable and soothing. The way she did my wax was absolutely amazing — gentle, professional, and truly caring. The whole team is friendly, welcoming, and so lovable. I felt relaxed from the moment I walked in. I genuinely recommend visiting Ology if you want high-quality service with a beautiful, comforting vibe. They really know how to take care of you! 💛✨
I am not someone who usually leaves reviews - good or bad, as I never want to jeopardise someone else’s livelihood. However, the appalling treatment I received from two staff members at Waxology in the Jamieson Centre has left me no choice but to speak up. Given the seriousness of what occurred, I believe it is necessary to name those involved for accountability. I also request that my privacy be maintained, my details removed from your database, and that I am not contacted. I am new to this business but was a long-standing client of Wax Monkey and never had a single issue there. My first appointment at Waxology was excellent, but everything from my second appointment onwards was extremely disappointing and repeatedly inconvenient due to poor organisation. For my second appointment, I arrived on a Saturday only to be told by Taylor it had been cancelled. I had called the day before and left two messages to reschedule, yet no one contacted me. As I received no cancellation message, I understandably turned up—after a 20-minute drive, looking for parking at Jamieson centre, and time away from my family. Taylor offered no apology, simply saying she “wasn’t there on Friday,” and refused to assist despite another therapist being free and with no clients waiting. At my next appointment, I was only minutes late and informed the staff member who called me at 11:42am that I was looking for parking. When I arrived, Katelyn immediately told me she/they would only perform one of my booked services. Her/their tone was openly irritated and hostile. She/they loudly claimed I was 15 minutes late, which was false and felt like an attempt to shift blame and embarrass me. I explained that after the previous inconvenience, I needed both services completed. Instead of helping, she/they focused on whether I had booked online and who I had spoken to. As returning would mean more time and fuel, I politely asked to have both services done that day. Without hesitation she/they declined and told me I would need to pay a service fee. Given I had already been prevented from receiving services twice due to their errors, I refused to pay any fee. I said I was happy to pay for whatever she/they could complete in the remaining time she/they claimed she/they had offering that my first therapist had managed the treatment efficiently and that a professional therapist should be able to manage the schedule. The moment I said this, her/their demeanour shifted and she/they abruptly asked me to leave. I told her/them this was extremely poor customer service, especially after being inconvenienced twice in two weeks. She/they did not like being questioned and began positioning herself/themselves as the victim, despite the situation being caused by their disorganisation and her/their own hostility. As a middle aged coloured woman, I was uncomfortable with the undertones in how both Taylor and especially Katelyn interacted with me. The dynamic felt discriminatory. Katelyn was quick to appease the White customer at the door while repeatedly asking me to leave in a loud and embarrassing manner. She/they even threatened to “escalate the situation by calling the police,” despite me simply standing my ground having done nothing wrong. This behaviour reflects the kind of racial bias often seen online, where situations are weaponised against people of colour. When I said I would be leaving an honest review, she/they dismissed me with, “That’s fine, go ahead.” At no point did I raise my voice or act disrespectfully. I remained calm throughout, standing firm as a paying customer expecting basic professionalism and empathy—none of which were shown. I left feeling abused, dismissed, and racially stereotyped. This is my honest account of how I was treated. I will not be returning, and again request that my privacy be maintained, my details removed from your database, and that I am not contacted.
