Can’t recommend enough. Wine can be intimidating to the uninitiated. The kind folks at Woodland consistently remove the pomp and steer us right. They carry bottles for the curious/budget friendly and those w experience/pockets. Grateful to have them in our neighborhood.

It was our first time going onto Woodland Wine. There was plenty of staff, but no one greeted us or offered to help us find the perfect wine. We walked around aimlessly thinking someone would offer help. We ended up not buying wine, but bought some Gin with our gift card. Unfortunately we will not be back. For a better customer experience with the most knowledgeable staff, I recommend going to Last Chance Liquors in East Nashville.

Great selection. Feels like 75% of their wines are low intervention/natty stuff. Prices feel 10-20% higher than anywhere else. NYC has better prices on the same bottles. Might be a volume issue, but be prepared to shell out $$ if you come here on the regular.

Called a ton of stores that were listed on High Wire Distilling Co's. Website. Woodland Wine Merchant was the only store that I spoke to over the phone who offered to order the botanical gin that is sourced from Charleston, SC. Within a week, I was able to pick up this new favorite gin of mine in time for my birthday!!! Why I am taking the time to review today is that it's customer service like this that deserves recognition and credit for going above and beyond. Just taking the extra step of offering to order for a customer is just darn good caring like family and southern hospitality. Hence, I will be coming back because of the customer service. It also helps they are located at Five Points and conveniently have their own dedicated parking. ⚡

Spent $100 and got three bottles all highly recommended to me: 1. okay Cab, 2. funky Red Blend with smell of vinegar, and 3. strange tasting Champagne that sent me running to the bathroom. Shared with friends who concurred. Other than that, seemingly nice shop.
