My experience with Ashley Lay as a listing agent was disappointing. There were repeated administrative mistakes, including using the wrong name on paperwork and a check sent to the wrong address. She complained rudely about having to fix her OWN mistakes, and went against our very direct and clear instructions. She frequently delivered negative or discouraging commentary about the home and pushed for costly services from her own contacts (home staging, her housecleaner, her contractor). All of her suggestions were way overpriced and unnecessary for our price point, yet she would threaten us that the home COULD NOT sell without it (it did sell). Communication was not supportive, and she declined to hold open houses or seller showings. She called less than a week after the listing was active and pushed us to hire her contacts or drop the price, attempting to make us panic very early in the process. While my home did sell quickly (we priced to sell!), the overall process felt disorganized and unnecessarily stressful. I would not work with this agent again.
In the past few months, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ashley to sell my house and Kevin to buy a house with my partner. During the selling process, the Lays experienced a family emergency that affected the entire office, yet Leann, Angie, and Crystal kept everything moving seamlessly. Leann became my go to, whether she liked it or not, and I’m so grateful for her. Selling is a very stressful experience, and Ashley and her staff took care of absolutely everything and were so patient with me throughout the process. Kevin was wonderful to work with during the buying process. Not only was he personable and fun with a great sense of humor, he was thorough, kept us informed every step of the way, and followed through on every thing he said he would do. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Crystal, who not only stepped up to show us houses when Kevin’s schedule didn’t allow, but was on top of scheduling various inspections, getting quotes from contractors, and just handling all of the backend things you don’t think about but could cause a sale to fall apart if they weren’t handled properly. My partner and I love our new house, but if we end up selling in the future, there’s no doubt we’ll call Ashley and her team. We were so happy with our experience, I recommended Ashley Lay Real Estate to friends, and they ended up listing their home with Ashley. Ashley and her team got it under contract in a matter of weeks. I really cannot say enough good things about Ashley Lay Real Estate, and I am so incredibly grateful I had the opportunity to work with them.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ashley Lay Real Estate on the process of buying a new home and selling my home. Throughout what can be a difficult process, everyone was professional, supportive and responsive. My buying agent was Danielle - she made the process fun. My selling agent was Andrew - I knew I could count on him to source the work needed to get my house ready to sell. In the office, Angie kept everything moving and was diligent in making sure everything was done properly. I highly recommend them, and I would use them again.
We were faced with the daunting task of selling our home while buying another in a short time frame. So it was only fitting that we chose Ashley Lay Realty with their large staff to handle our needs. We chose Amy Everhart as our Selling agent. She was very responsive to all of our questions, professional, polite and her love for animals provided an extra bond between us. Our house sold in 4 days above asking price. Ashley Lay was our buying agent and like Amy was very responsive, detailed and stayed on top of things during the entire process. There were many other skillful employees that also played an integral part in our selling/buying experience. Bottom line this was a true team effort and I would highly recommend their services!
