Still a delightful street. Great to return after some 25 years away and find it hadn't been taken over by bland chains. Plenty of independent cafés, restaurants and wine bars - as well as a quirky selection of boutiques and stalls. Can get incredibly busy - so worth visiting reasonably early in the morning when the stores are just opening and the crowds have yet to gather (or late in the evening for gelato and hot chocolate).
Last here 30 years ago, the market is much smaller than it used to be, now there are lots of boutique type shops and lots of high end coffee shops, guess that's gentrification for you!
A lovely little street with boutiques, cafes, Bakeries. On Wednesdays and Saturdays it hosts a flea market. Thoroughly enjoyed browsing.
This is now my favourite market, I came on Sunday which is a big mistake, majority shops in the market open on Wednesday and Saturday! I’ve heard some shops only take cash so make sure you at least have a tenner. I bought a ring which was supposed to be £5, but the owner was so nice and said my ring is small and £3 would do. This place gives different vibe to the other touristy markets, I love waking through the alleyways, and things here are more reasonably priced. You’ll find lots of vintage jewelleries, ornaments, cups etc.
It’s the ideal spot to visit on a sunny day, with plenty of charming local shops and cozy coffee houses. Our go-to routine is to start with breakfast at The Breakfast Club, pick up a pastry from Buns From Home, and then check through some antique finds. That’s what we call the perfect weekend.
