I've been a regular at City Market Coffee for four years, and they continue to be my favorite coffee shop in Kansas City. Even with inflation and tariffs driving prices up everywhere else, they've kept their coffee affordable and never raised their prices, while other coffee shops charge two or three dollars more for the same cup. The quality is always top-tier, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff always leaves me feeling cared about. This place truly takes care of its customers, and that's why I keep coming back!
My husband and I stopped in for drinks recently. I got a hot chai and it was pretty good. I wish it had had a little more depth of flavor, but it was wonderfully hot. It looks like they expanded into the neighboring shop, and there’s a beautiful mural on the wall. It wasn’t busy when we went, but I have seen this place packed to the rafters, especially on the weekends during the farmer’s market.
Long lines since it's the only coffee shop in city market. I tried their Gigi Splash which is already bottled juice (not sure if cold pressed) made of pineapple, red apple,pear,strawberry, orange and lemon. Tastes okay but wish it truly was fresh pressed especially for the $9 price tag.
My mom and I are making a cross country trip and ended up finding this place from other reviews. The coffee, chai tea, a breakfast burrito, and BLT w/egg were so amazing. It all tasted so fresh and homemade, was truly some of the best breakfast I’ve had. We met Matt, who is just so kind and amazing; he even walked out to point us in the direction of the river for a nice view to eat. The actual cafe itself is so neat and designed so uniquely. I would recommend this spot to anyone for great food and atmosphere!
Great coffee! Egg sandwich was superb! My husband got the breakfast burrito and loved it as well. The smell of coffee from the outside was beautiful! Very nice to sit outside and listen to the birds.
