Response to the recent answer from the firm: Made up, unrealistic response. I came with the laptop and asked the person there if he can repair it. I did mentioned hitches or case because that is what Google suggested not because I have a knowledge about it, hence why I took the laptop to the repair shop! I asked the person in the shop if he can fix and that was that. Following that chat I left my laptop to be fixed for £70. Fixed means being repaired properly as one can expect when you ask for something to be fixed by a specialist. When the laptop was collected by my partner, my partner had a argument with the person in the repair shop that the laptop was not fixed. When it opened it there, it was as bad as it was at home as you can see in the pictures. It also cracked in the shop. My partner decided to pay and leave because he was not getting anywhere! As I said, not impressed at all with the overall service. Main comment: I had a bad experience with the laptop repair shop. I took in my HP v13 laptop with a broken hinge and the corner of the case which was quoted as £70 for the repair. When I went to pick it up the next day, the hinge apparently was fixed but the case was still broken and the screen was not properly aligned. The repair person said he would glue it closed within the initial cost, but the screen was still misaligned after he did it. When my partner picked it up today (6 days later), the repair person refused to acknowledge that he had not properly explained the issue or the costs involved, and he also said that the case actually needs all replaced and that will cost more something that I was not told before. When I tried to open the laptop at home which unable me to use it as I am not able to open the screen for usages. And it cracked against the main body, which in no time it will cause more damage. Overall, I felt that I was taken advantage of and that the repair shop was not transparent/honest about the real issues on repairs and cost. I am not recommending the shop.
