They have a wonderful selection of clothes and the store is very cute and I like the layout. But the staff is kind of rude and everyone seems like they hate their job. They barely speak to you while shopping and the store is only so big so why can’t you say hello… all of the employees in my experience see just very fake nice and they only want to help you when you are buying something expensive. Love the clothes but not the staff! Not sure if it’s a Palo Alto thing because I am not from here but definitely wish people were more friendly.
As a seller, this has been a very frustrating experience. I called to confirm the drop-off time, drove all the way there, and was told they stopped accepting items early—with no apology. This happened to me twice. It feels like they can change their policy at any moment, even after confirming by phone. My time matters too, and without sellers bringing in clothing, the store wouldn’t have anything to sell in the first place. Being told “call next time” the first time, and then being turned away again even after calling, was extremely disappointing. The selling hours are clearly listed in the store information, yet they kept changing—even after confirmation. And while I understand sellers and buyers have different roles, a store should treat everyone with basic respect. If a business cannot maintain consistent policies or communicate properly with the people who supply their inventory, it makes me question the store’s integrity and overall quality of service.
As with any consignment shop, sometimes you hit a jackpot, sometimes you can't find jack. However, I work about a 10 minute stroll away from this location and have been frequenting it at least once every week for a good year or so. Some of my biggest scores have been: Pristine Palm Angels track pants ($40) NWT Athleta x Derek Lam **lambskin** shorts ($40) NWT Anine Bing aviator sunnies ($40) NWT Rag&Bone all silk tank ($15) EUC Unbranded Brand 25 oz. heavyweight Japanese selvedge denim ($20) Staff is very approachable and . Store is extremely well organized, and very clean. Store's buyers seem very in tune with being inclusive regarding sizes and aesthetics..
They sold me a fake!! I was really excited to visit this store while traveling in the Bay Area and purchased a bag they claimed was a 1980s vintage Dior. I trusted the purchase since they advertise that all of their items are authenticated. When I asked about the “final sale” policy, I was told it was simply due to the consignment cycle and not because of any issues with the bag. However, once I returned to my hotel and inspected it more closely, I realized something was off. After doing some research, I discovered that the bag was missing key authenticity details such as a “Made in Italy/France” marking on the Dior tag and a proper date stamp. These are basics that any genuine Dior bag from that era would have. Instead, there is a Made in Italy stamp in a separate location inside the bag. How could they not know this was a fake and sell it as authentic?!? I feel completely misled. I paid for what I believed was a genuine designer piece, but what I received was a counterfeit. Selling counterfeit items is illegal and I am extremely unimpressed, it should not be the consumers responsibility to authenticate goods when buying from a “reputable” seller. Buyers beware—don’t trust their so-called authentication process, and be cautious of “final sale” items.
a cute resale shop I stumbled upon in town & country! had much fun browsing through many, many options on the rack (luxury bags, jeans, tops, shoes, etc.) and trying on pieces 🎀🪞 items are decently priced and reflect their conditions. I'm new to thrifting so while I didn't get anything, the layout and organization of the store made the experience enjoyable :) keep in mind the overall style lean towards a feminine side 𝜗𝜚˚ i do love it tho
