Wow! This place is absolutely beautiful! Probably one of the prettiest cafes (areas) I've visited. Jeff took my order and he was an absolute delight!! Such a kind and genuine person, great face to see when starting up your morning. So so kind. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll Cold Brew, and I am definitely not impressed to say the least. I was told that there was a "lot of cold foam" on top,, but it seemed to be maybe the top 1/2 inch at most? (You can see this in the photos) And it was also chunky & had unnoticeable flavor. Just tasted like a cold brew with some fun spunky chunks for me to chew on. The drink was $7.80 for a 16 ounce. My friend ordered a maple latte with oat milk. About $7.50 for a 10 ounce (fairly small). They said their drink was pretty good! This cafe is pretty mediocre and nothing special if I'm being completely honest. Some of the staff and the environment are so redeeming and lovely. I'd only recommend coming to visit if you need a cozy environment to work in. Parking was pretty easy, but that's because I came 30 minutes after open. Theres maybe 12 parking spots out front, but they're limited and paid--$2 an hour. It will be likely very difficult to find parking. Overall a nice cafe to visit once, but I probably won't be back unfortunately. Would only visit for Jeff because he's so kind!
This coffee shop is GORGEOUS (it’s located in a large lobby area of a multi-floored office building. Reminds me of a hotel) they have light jazz playing and tons of comfy chairs, tables, and a fireplace. Seems like a nice place for an early morning/evening board game or light conversation. Could even get some work done here although I imagine it fills up after 9am (came at 7am). I tried their maple latte with oat milk and it was pretty good! They had a somewhat limited menu however, so maybe not for everyone. They had honey, maple, vanilla, and chocolate as flavors I believe. My friend and I were both asked if our drinks were to be ‘for here’ and we confirmed ‘for here,’ but then we both received to-go cups… maybe that’s all they had? But why inquire about for here or to go? We’d prefer to save items from the landfill if possible. Parking is very difficult and the payment starts at 6:00am. So you absolutely will be paying to park unless you’re walking here… The price of the drink plus having to pay for parking make this experience a bit too pricey for me… The barista Jeff was very kind. I hope Jeff has a lovely day!! Thanks Frgmnt!
This coffee shop is unique due to the historical and industrial vibe coming from the architecture of the building which houses multiple leasing spaces. It is also right next to the Mississippi River and has beautiful views of Minneapolis. There are plenty of seating options, plus a fireplace, pool table, and shuffleboard table. Ordered two large (16oz) hot lattes. One vanilla and one dulce de leche. Both tasted good, but not worth the price they were charging. Each latte was $7.05 + $0.80 flavoring. Not to mention "downtown sales tax" of 12.025% which is steep. Not to mention paying to park which is expected for being in Minneapolis.
First time visiting. The location is beautiful; an old, spacious building with a cozy atmosphere. However, their coffee menu feels limited. I came specifically for a pumpkin spice latte, but they didn’t have it. I ended up getting a chai tea latte, which was okay but nothing special. I tried the morning bun & enjoyed it, but the croissant was very standard. We also ordered an iced coffee (can’t recall the name) & it was just average. Overall, the taste of the coffee doesn’t quite match the price. The shop was packed & we couldn’t find a place to sit. Parking was also difficult, especially on the weekend.
Place is great. Coffee is really good. Their selections and variety are wonderful. Baristas know what they’re doing and really know how to dial in the coffee. The Ethiopian espresso natural was really great, balanced, and sweet on two separate occasions. Their selections of coffee are also very, very good. Shoutout to the barista with the curly hair and also to the one with long hair and arm tattoos.
