Junkee saved the day! I am a frequent business traveler to Reno and I truly wish I had discovered this gem sooner. I needed a last-minute costume for a themed "Dairy Party." I chose to go as Greek Yogurt, but I wanted the look to be more than a simple pun. I aimed to represent the "Greek" element by channeling Hades in his lesser-known role as Plouton, the god of the earth's hidden wealth and fortunes. The selection at Junkee is incredible, but the service is even better. I was lucky enough to meet an employee named Hannah. Tyche must have been on my side that day, because Hannah jumped into action to help me source a look that reflected that "hidden fortune" aesthetic from head to toe. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me transform into an absolute hit for the party. I found everything I needed and more. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone seeking hidden treasures!
They have such an incredible selection! I found this place by accident and would love to come back! The staff was so friendly :) I wish I could've spent more time here to truly look around
Came here on a whim since my mom and I were in town. This place is cool! I thought things were really organized, clean and if you look long enough, you could find some really good items. They also have an upstairs antique store and same! Found a lot of good things. I was very happy I stopped by and I really enjoyed watching staff trying to put costumes together for shoppers. They would look for items that weren’t actually a costume and put it together to transform into a costume. Prices of some clothing could be a little high but I also found really good pieces for a good deal. Hopefully I get to go back!
I adore all the wide range of styles and clothing, and accessories! I feel like anyone can walk in and find something special for them! I love their buy,sell,trade, program witch helps keep clothes out of the landfill and into the hands of stylist girls like me who love a great deal! This is such a great place to get a little money back for clothes you may have just donated anyway- and you know they’re going to be in good hands. I love the decorations and everything about Junkee i love!
This place is always at the top of my to-do list when I come into Reno! I loved the old location, but this new spot has a lot more parking. Junkee hits the nail on the head for all of the weirdos.. in a good way! I always see a few people, both staff and patrons with really unique styles and it’s great to go someplace where all are fully accepted. I always score when I shop on the vintage side and leave with something that makes me super happy. I think it had been well over a year since my last visit… maybe even closer to Two years, but the lovely lady with the blue tipped hair who has all the sweet comic book store type stuff- she instantly recognized me and that was really sweet. I have seen a lot of comments of people saying the feel profiled or followed around the store, but as someone they know is there to shop- they do it to me to…. I find it super helpful as I can hesitate to ask for someone to open a case for me.
