This place has been magical for our family. We first enrolled our son and his focus and mind body control improved. We decided to enroll our daughter and for good measure both me and my wife enrolled as well. It has been a wonderful experience so far. All the masters have been respectful, skilled, and patient. They will challenge you but it's done in a respectful manner; I have never seen anything but kindness and compassion from this team. The training has been top notch. We have seen health benefits in a short period of time. I highly recommend Master Kim's. Update: it should be mentioned that they engage in other ways. For instance they offer movie night, reading challenges, etc.
Both of our daughters have attended Master Kim’s for the past year. They have learned so much from Master Kim, Master Bae, and Master Lee (and of course all of the other wonderful instructors). We really appreciate that the lessons go beyond just physical taekwondo skills and also focus on key life skills such as respect, focus, and perseverance. We’ve seen firsthand how these lessons have positively impacted both of our daughters. We also love the sense of community that Master Kim’s provides. Our girls love to attend the picnics, movie nights, and other celebrations that are held throughout the year.
The entire staff at MKT is excellent with the children (and adult students)!!! They have been so kind to the families as well. However, don't mistake kindness for weakness. The many instructors are multiple degree black belts. Respect is evident. Communication is fantastic. All of the events: movie nights, holiday parties, belt testing etc. are run so smoothly. I'm so grateful we found this community. Surprisingly, I haven't thought of 1 aspect I don't like. Our child has grown so much since joining MKT. It's remarkable 🥋
I have two boys enrolled in Master Kim’s Taekwondo. It’s been a great experience for them. More than just the martial art form and exercise Master Kim focuses on respect, integrity, and helping kids develop grit and determination. This is a fantastic program for building confidence in young kids. Both my kids started as 4 year olds, the little tiger program is tailored specifically for little ones to help bridge them up to the main program. They also have a fantastic summer camp program, holiday parties, even Saturday night date nights where they’ll entertain your kids and feed them once a month on a Saturday evening! All the instructors and masters are so wonderful with children. Even if you’re not sure if this is the right fit for you, just try it. They have specials they run constantly that allow you to try the program for several weeks at either a very low price or sometimes even free! No risk, all reward.
Incredible program, instructors, facility, and community. My son has learned so many physical skills - technique, flexibility, strength, balance, as well as life skills - confidence, responsibility, focus, effort, self-discipline. My husband and I gain so much as well from watching and listening to our son’s practice. I really appreciate all of the 1:1 teaching and guidance the instructors provide to each student in the class. It is a life-changing experience for the whole family.
