So we walked in on a Saturday night around 6:30 pm without a reservation. The resturant was clearly full, but luckilly they seem to have an overflow area for guests like us. Clearly this was the hotels resturant as from time to time a hotel guest would walk through. Even with this we enjoyed sitting in this area versus the main dining area as it was very quiet and had a chill and laid back atmosphere. They started us off with bread and oil to dip in. For appetizers we had the bruschetta and fried calamari which were both good. For the main dish we had the Seafood linguini and the Mushroom papardelle. These dishes were both great and I was glad they had parmasean cheese to add on top. But honestly, the Mushroom papardelle was truely exquisite. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was very good. For drinks we tried the limoncello and the mocktail mirtillo punch. They should rename the limoncella to limoncello punch as it has a large amount of alcohol in it. For those looking for bang for your buck, try this drink. Also the mocktail was the best I've had anywhere. It even had a nice texture to it. We will be back next time we vist ville de Québec.
Had a lovely time at this restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly, personable and down to earth. My linguine vongole was delicious. The liguini was a tad too el dente but nonetheless delicious. The argula and prosciutto salad was perfect. We also tried their spaghetti le keb and that was 👍. Oh! And the cauliflower soup really hit the spot! Thank you for a great experience !
The first place for the best Italian pasta in town! Enjoyed the Christmas Eve dinner at this authentic Italian restaurant chain in Quebec City. The pastas were amazingly delicious and the steak was perfectly cooked to accurate perfection and tasted better than anything else one can find anywhere else. The atmosphere was fantastic and very refreshing welcoming experience. The service was also very pleasant and really enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for an evening dinner , just make sure you have a reservation done before heading as it is very popular and busy.
Wow this place!! The vibe is trendy and fabulous. Great for larger parties or alone. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. This was my 2nd trip to Quebec and my favorite place to eat yet. Worth every penny. I had to use the rest mid dinner and came back to my napkin folded when I returned, great touch. They have an open kitchen so if you sit close to the kitchen you can see the chefs hard at work.
What a dining experience! The staff is very attentive to your needs and will ensure you have an amazing experience. In my opinion, that's what really sets Matto apart with the atmosphere and vibe. The food is amazing. You see and taste the attention to details in what they do. The pasta is fresh with that bouncy feel to it and helps the sauce stick. Yet, no matter how great the food is, I take this back to the experience the staff is conveying.
