I went into Monkee’s today with a very specific event dress-code in mind and two pieces I already had picked out (a skirt and a pair of shoes). The girls in the store immediately and kindly offered their help as I explained what I was looking for and showed them what I already owned. Before I knew it, every single employee had dropped what they were doing to help me pull pieces to try on. It was so clear how much they genuinely cared about helping me feel good in what I ultimately chose. Addie and Ellen were especially helpful, and it was obvious that not only are they exceptionally stylish, but they also have incredible taste. The Monkee’s team gave me such a sense of confidence knowing I’d be 100% on-trend for my upcoming event—which, in my opinion, is an absolutely priceless feeling. I’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to continue shopping at this amazing boutique.

Wether text, DM, or in store they do a great job at helping me find the right pieces for her. She loves stuff from here because it’s not found in many other places.

I ordered a pair of Mignonne Gavigan earrings from Monkee’s of Raleigh during a Cyber Week promotion, clearly advertised and confirmed in my order as the white and light blue version. What arrived was a silver and dark blue pair – a completely different product from what was shown and described in my confirmation. When I contacted Monkee’s of Raleigh, the justification for refusing a proper refund changed several times. First Monkee’s of Raleigh said the earrings I received were the same as those listed for my order. When I pointed out that my confirmation clearly showed the white and light blue version, the explanation suddenly became that the item was “final sale”, even though I used a Cyber Week discount code and there was no final sale notice at checkout or in the confirmation email. After I challenged that, the story changed again: I was told Monkee’s of Raleigh does not issue refunds at all and only offers store credit, and part of the responsibility was shifted to Mignonne Gavigan, with Monkee’s of Raleigh saying that the photo on the website had been provided by Mignonne Gavigan. The result is simple: I ordered one specific product, received another, and Monkee’s of Raleigh kept changing its story instead of correcting an obvious mistake and returning my money, leaving me with a significant loss on an expensive pair of earrings that I never wanted and would never have chosen. There is also another review from about six months ago describing a very similar situation involving purchases with a discount code, no “final sale” disclosure at checkout or in the confirmation, and “FINAL SALE” being used later to deny a return. That alone should make anyone think twice. Based on this experience, I strongly do not recommend shopping with Monkee’s of Raleigh!!!

Selection is overpriced- staff is also rude. Not the most welcoming or supportive environment to shop in. Any other consignment store is a better, and more friendly option.

I had one of the most amazing shopping experiences at Monkees in their North Hills, Raleigh, NC location. It was like stepping back in time. The sales assistants, were polite, helpful, non-pushy or over-bearing and quick to assist when needed. I bought a couple of cute items to freshen up my Spring wardrobe and will definitely back to shop for more!
