I love this shop! So many beautiful designer pieces at a fraction of the cost. It is well organized and a beautiful store. I've had very good experiences with the store employees. Highly suggest!
I’ve always loved the San Antonio store, but the Austin location just doesn’t measure up. This was only my second visit, and the vibe was immediately off. The staff came across as more rude and condescending than approachable or helpful. If you’re looking to consign, I’d recommend exploring other options.
Was referred to Moss by Garment their sister store to sell some items. They didn’t take my bag which is fine. Their demeanor however was very unpleasant and unwelcoming. Will definitely not be going back. Very disappointed since I love Garment. Customer service was not at all what I expected for a designer consignment store.
I’m really loving Moss right now. I haven’t been into what’s in most stores lately, so it’s such a breath of fresh air to shop their curated pieces. They always have a great mix of current and past seasons, and everything feels so thoughtfully selected. I’ve picked up quite a few pieces this season that I’m obsessed with!
The owner takes it upon herself to insult her potential sellers by making uneducated insinuations regarding the authenticity of inherited pieces. Even when presented with a verified Entrupy Certificate she chose to insist that I was lying and attempting to press upon her, an inauthentic 1970’s Christian Dior tote. She claimed that there was no date stamp.... obviously she knows nothing about Dior because if she DID she’d know that they only began their date stamping to curb counterfeiting of the Lady Dior bag in 1997 after the passing of Princess Diana caused the bag to increase in popularity as it was commonly referred to as the “Lady D” bag. She claimed the lining was incorrect.... Christian Dior did not begin using a monogrammed or marked lining until the 1990’s and in some rare cases during the 80’s. Bags were not made in-house and were sourced through other factories. Hardware was not stamped and the lining was not marked. Thirdly.... the bag was inherited from my grandmother whom I sat beside as she died. I know for a FACT that this bag was authentic and to insinuate otherwise is not just ignorant but OFFENSIVE. I walk into both Garment and Moss and can name any bag on their shelves by Designer and often times by style. I have educated their staff on more designer facts than I expected. They and their staff are surprisingly ignorant when it comes to the brands they are re-selling. I am also a person who comes into their stores and buys up the bags they can’t push out the door and have spent a good deal of money there. With all of these facts stacked together it goes without saying that I am well in my right to be offended. If you want a beat up 1980’s Gucci bag with half the monogram rubbed off the canvas, the leather worn with exposed piping, and the interior lining cracked and peeling: Feel free to pop over to their sister store Garment. If you want overpriced, and often damaged designer goods go to Moss. And I you are interested in a TWICE AUTHENTICATED vintage 1970’s Christian Dior Trotter Monogram Tote... hit me up.
