Mom and Pop spot for sure. The food was good and service was great. I highly recommend this breakfast spot.
This is a hidden gem in the Newark area. A very small, and old place but the food and service was amazing. The food is served hot and made to order. The only downside for me is they didn't serve pork bacon or sausage. Family owned and ran and been in business for over 16 years. Give it a try and don't let the outside or the area distract you.
From the outside, it's unassuming and I accidentally drove past it the first time I went. But once inside, the friendly atmosphere and intoxicating scents took over. Great food at a good price!
The energy in the room as soon as we walked in was so hospitable, I just knew the food was going to be good 😂 The cook & mrs.Shirley took good care of us! Finding a breakfast place where my non pork vegetable eating boy friend was difficult but this place literally had all of it! & some GOOD coffee too . We got a spinach and broccoli omelette with beef chicken sausage. I got blueberry waffles with a beef bacon and beef chicken sausage. We will be doubling back from Delaware forsure! 🫶
While visiting Newark all the way from Texas, we stopped by Mr. Burgandy’s Breakfast Luncheonette—and WOW, we’re so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing. The grits were hands down the best we’ve ever had—creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The breakfast croissant was also incredible, packed with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home even though we were far from it. We’ll definitely be coming back every time we’re in town. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast in Newark! PS- the UPTOWN drink is a must try
