I’ve been going to Pilates Underground for 5+ years and Megan is one of the best instructors I’ve ever had. Her instructions and ways of explaining how to engage certain muscle groups to properly execute the movements is really superb guidance, and has transformed mine and my mother’s overall strength. The space has a great energy and not intimidating for beginners.
Great space! Luxurious for an exercise studio. Vicki is a great coach! Precise, yet encouraging. Will definitely go back.
Ive been taking a reformer class at Pilates Underground for about 5 months and my experience has been nothing short of phenomenal. I was new to Pilates and joined an seasoned group so I wasn't sure what to expect. Megan, our instructor is very experienced, kind and funny. I felt comfortable from day 1, and now I am reaping the benefits of a weekly class. I am more flexible, stronger and more aware of my body. I was a gym/TRX guy and this is much better and more functional. The space is sunny, open with plants and windows. Its very nice on a gloomy day ... and Megan is a joy. Try Pilates Underground you won't be sad.
Embarking on my Pilates journey at Pilates-Underground in Minneapolis, I genuinely felt like a fish out of water, convinced I had two left feet. Every session has been an exploration, a blend of challenge and enlightenment. Thanks to Megan's masterful guidance and patient teaching, I've gracefully wiggled my way from that initial non-dancer awkwardness to a deep appreciation of my body's dynamic capabilities. I've discovered muscles I didn't know existed and a flexibility I didn't think I could achieve. If you're searching for a transformative, top-notch Pilates experience in the Twin Cities that's both fun and deeply educational, Pilates-Underground is your ultimate destination.
I'd say "run, don't walk" to Pilates Underground, but given their ethos I'll rephrase – walk mindfully without delay to take your first class here! You simply won't be able to beat the care, attention, sense of humor and passion from Megan and Vicki (the two instructors I have experienced). They are excellent teachers who really know their stuff with years of extensive training in both Pilates and the body itself. The space is clean, bright (especially nice in the winter), and well-cared for. As others have mentioned, Megan has taken COVID-19 very seriously and protocols are strong to ensure everyone's health and safety. For myself, practicing here each week has become one of my favorite parts of the week. In a few short months of one class a week I have noticed improvement in posture, lack of general aches and pains, more mobility when doing other athletic movements, and honestly abs! It has been such a gift in my life.
