I have had several great experiences here over the last couple months. Everyone has been very professional and my hair has turned out great! Give them a try if you're looking for hair care!
Emily did my hair today. I've never had a hair stylist less enthusiastic and less accommodating. She was unfriendly, not accommodating; she had no clients before me and no clients right after me. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is the owner of the business has seen lovely and might blowout wasn't awful.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This place is truly the worst salon in Dallas. I was excited to try it out as I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to find a local spot to get my hair done when needed. The girl who did my hair, although very nice, left my hair flat, frizzy and half curled and half uncurled. I left looking like I had two different lengths of hair on either side. I had to then shower and redo my hair on my own making me late to an event. This was supposed to be relaxing and a time saver for me and ended up being a stress and unnecessary expense. I have since tried calling (very kindly) to try and speak with a manager. I have left 4 messages with many different associates, all who of which tell me there is no one who can help but him. He clearly doesn’t care enough to call. I wanted to speak to a manager before going public but it’s been two weeks with no care to address the issue with me. I will tell everyone I know and the entire neighborhood: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I really wanted to like this place. But paying $55 for something that I didn’t want doesn’t entice me to leave a good review. My stylist and I unfortunately had a pretty sizable language barrier, so she was very much unable to understand what I actually wanted. I wanted a simple blowout with a round brush. Nothing else. I had hurt my shoulder that morning and doing my usual just wasn’t in the cards, so I simply needed someone else to do it for me. Nothing more. Because I sat in a chair that did not offer a view of a mirror in front of me, I didn’t see until afterward that she had curled my hair using the round brush. Why?… The hair on the top of my head was completely flat. How?… She just kept putting more and more hairspray after I said I didn’t really want or need any. Unless you have a specific stylist that you frequent at this location, do not leave it up to chance and let just any stylist take care of you. The stylist was very nice, but it simply wasn’t what I wanted and the communication barriers were frustrating in this experience.
Was hoping to write a more positive review, but the young girl did not seem to have much experience doing a blow out. She did a decent shampoo though. However, she seemed scared to massage the shampoo in and too timid to tease my hair. And I can only assume she is rationed a certain amount of hairspray as she was very hesitant to use spray even after I asked for extra spray in certain areas of my hair. My hair was flat against my head within 30 minutes of leaving. But at least it’s washed and I can go fix it at home!
