My husband and I got married here back in October and when I tell you it was a DREAM, I mean it. Everything went off seamlessly and we had the best time ever!! We utilized the space, their recommended bartenders, and SHELBY (we will give her a whole paragraph). We chose The Spot mainly because we were allowed to bring in our own vendors, alcohol, decor etc. Most importantly, is was AFFORDABLE. Wedding venues have become so expensive and we really didn't know if we'd be able to afford the wedding we wanted. The Spot was the first place we toured on a day we saw >6 places. Immediately after touring, my now husband and I looked at each and thought it was too perfect. Let's talk about the venue itself. The location is perfect being downtown and close to a lot of hotels. The space itself is beautiful with the exposed brick and hanging lights that you truly don't need any other decor besides what you need for tables. Next the staff - every single person we came in contact with was truly so genuine and kind. We met Sam the day we toured and shout out to her for answering all of my many questions! We also utilized their bartenders which was more than ideal because 1) they were great! I had multiple guests tell me how nice the bartenders were 2) Sam sent us a list of ingredients and amounts in an excel sheet and all we had to do was go to the liquor store to get it (so easy!). Day of, everyone was so nice and helpful. I didn't get to see any of the behind the scenes but heard nothing but great things from my family/friends that were around. My one and only complaint/feedback I would have is that if you have a hype dance floor and you are dancing, it gets very hot! (I feel like most places do). They did have some fans that they brought out later in the night which was nice. I would recommend either bringing some fans to have around the DJ station to face the dance floor or give out hand fans (electric or paper) to have on the dance floor! Okay okay now to end on the best part. SHELBY! Shelby (their coordinator) is in all caps because that woman is a literal angel and the sweetest human ever. I met Shelby mere months before our wedding when I was drowning and the Spot just started offering coordinating services. Shelby quite literally saved me. I was so overwhelmed and I knew it was crunch time but Shelby never once made me feel bad about being behind, instead helped the planning process become fun again. She asks such detailed questions and is very organized and efficient! We did just the reception at the spot and Shelby essentially made sure everything ran smoothly while doing the following: helped plan the timeline and set up of the room, served as the contact point for all our vendors (that was magical), set up all the table decor/placements day of, and made our day run SEAMLESSLY. We had a few video calls leading up to the big day and when I tell you this woman KNOCKED it out of the park. I am being 100% honest when I tell you I was never once stressed at our reception because Shelby did such an incredible job making sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, we had the best experience at The Spot and would recommend them any day! Thank you SO much!! **unfortunately we don't have all our photos back yet so I can't share specific venue ones
We had an amazing experience with this venue! They were incredibly flexible, offered great service, and created the cutest atmosphere. Truly everything I had hoped for in a “build-your-own” wedding experience. The woman-led team made the entire process smooth and personal, and our day felt exactly like us. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a customizable and beautiful place to celebrate! And the cost was reasonable which helped bring us confidence that our money goes directly to what is important to us! Definitely consider them in your wedding venue selection!
My HUSBANDDD and I got married here on 10/11/25. I can not express how amazing this venue is. It’s unique, rustic, intimate, and has so many other amazing qualities. The staff is phenomenal, attentive, and they KNOW what they are doing when it comes to running a wedding venue!! Shelby is genuinely one of the sweetest souls I have ever met and anyone looking to book at The Spot is so lucky to get to work with her. The space was absolutely perfect for my 185 wedding guests. Everyone fit perfect and it never felt over crowded. The dance floor was super spacious. The bathrooms are extremely beautiful and super clean. The Bridal suite was perfect for my husband and his groomsmen to get ready (the bridesmaids and I stayed at an Airbnb near by which was so amazing). Parking is super easy even though the venue is located downtown. This venue lets you DIY everything which is exactly what we wanted when planning our wedding. They do not have a required caterer like most venues, so you get to cater whatever your heart desires! All in all, if DIY is your vibe, The Spot is the SPOT for you. We could not have asked for a more magnificent wedding day, thank you❤️
Love photographing weddings at The Spot on West Fifth! One of my favorite parts of this venue is the large brick wall when you first walk in. It gives the space a historic element, while also still modern and bright. There's also lots of walkable areas for photos nearby, and it's in the heart of Cincinnati which is appealing for city-lovers. Highly recommend this event space + wedding venue!
We had our wedding and reception here in December and it was amazing! The Spot team is so helpful, friendly, and patient. I don’t know how many questions I asked them during the year leading up to my wedding but they were always helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond the day of the wedding which I truly appreciated! The venue itself was amazing, perfect location and a perfect spot for an indoor wedding. I can’t thank them enough!
