Had a wonderful lunch today, largely thanks to our amazing server Paul. He created a memorable experience for us! We had driven down from Omaha to get my cat tested for congestive heart failure and decided to celebrate my cat having a clean bill of health, and I’m so glad we went here. We both got the lunch omakase menu, the first three of the nigiri’s were decent but nothing special but the remainder five we got were delicious. The star of the show was the hand wrap. Along with the wine and wagyu nigiri piece I had, it was a delightful lunch!
I had the akoya omakase and it was truly exceptional. Fish was fresh and tasty and the flavor combinations were so creative and well-balanced. The chef was very attentive and explained every ingredient for me (which I appreciate). Friendly service from the team and just overall good vibes! :) Honestly I’m not used to spending this much money on a single meal but I’ll say this is well worth it. If you are ever considering coming here, just do yourself a favor and pay a visit to this place! I’m a bit sad that I’m just visiting Kansas City; I wish I can come here everyday. (some of my favorites from tonight)
Delightful sushi spot tucked away in the Hotel Phillips. The Omakase dinner service was right up there with the best. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the quality of the ingredients in every dish was outstanding, and some dishes featured a very unique and creative take on more traditional Japanese ingredients.
I had an absolutely impressive omakase experience here. Chef Peter and Chef Jay are truly exceptional , their creativity and dedication shine through every dish. Each course was beautifully crafted, full of flavor, and brought real joy to the dining experience. You can feel how much passion and care they put into every detail. Their food exceeded all expectations and definitely didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend everyone to try it
AMAZING! Seriously if you truly like sushi - not rolls - legit sushi - get in here! Every piece of fish was so fresh! The guys were all fabulous to spend time with! I know Chef Peter and Chef Jay from when they worked in Jackson, WY and when j found out Chef Peter opened his own place I booked a flight! Seriously a phenomenal meal all around! We will be back!
