So I will start out with the positives: the NP I saw did a great job and got me the right medications and was very helpful. The negatives: I made an appt ahead of time for 11am. I was checked in according to the app/their records at 10:56. I did not get called back out of the waiting room until after 12. I had been sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes before the receptionist called me up for payment to let me know they don’t take tap and I would need a physical card. They would not bill me & they would not see me unless a paid right there and then. So I had to call my husband to come bring me a card and during that time they started called people back. Even though I was listed as next on the screen they called three people back in front of me All because I hadn’t paid yet. If she had told me right when I checked in to pay, my husband would’ve already been there and I could’ve been called back much sooner. They were obviously very understaffed. I was told they always only have one nurse practitioner or doctor there at a time so as long as you’re OK waiting an hour or two to be seen then this place should work for you.
I am writing to formally express my concern regarding an experience I had at your urgent care facility on 02/11/2026. I brought my son in seeking medical attention, and we were turned away solely because I did not have his physical insurance card present. I was able to provide his full information, including name, date of birth, and insurance details, yet we were still denied care. I find this extremely concerning, as a child needing medical care should not be refused when identifying and billing information can be verified electronically. This situation caused unnecessary stress and delayed medical attention for my son. I am requesting a review of your policy and staff training regarding patient intake, especially in cases involving minors. No parent should be placed in a position where their child is denied care for administrative reasons. I look forward to a response and resolution.
My wife tried to get treatment two times and was prescribed medication that did not treat her condition. She tried calling for clarification for why the prescription was not working and was given the runaround. The only time she got answers was when she spoke the pharmacist who disbursed the prescribed medication at Publix. The pharmacist was even able to explain that the dose the doctor prescribed was ineffective to treat her condition. If you need proper assistance for any medical condition, you’re better off trying over the counter medication to treat whatever your dealing with.
I called before I left to go to afc to confirm they could see my daughter. It was 6 pm and I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be rude to arrive at 6:15 when they close at 7 pm. The receptionist said to for sure come and they would be ready for her! I mentioned we saw her pediatrician the day before and we think it for sure is strep but that we tested too early and she said not a problem they could process a strep test in 5 minutes. We arrive, fill out all of the paper work, wait and then are told the np would not see my daughter even though she is allowed to treat her because she doesn’t feel comfortable treating a child. If I had known this when I called I would have been able to go to a children’s urgent care. But, now my daughter has over 104 fever and everywhere is closed except the emergency room. I feel that the np wanted to leave early and that is why we were not seen.
Online booking, check-in, and waiting room process were awesome. I got seen very quickly, just a few minutes after I'd booked the appointment from home. Once I got back to the evaluation room, I think I was in the room speaking with the nurse practitioner for 45-60 seconds before being prescribed an antibiotic and sent on my way. My infection wasn't touched or inspected — more like glanced at from a few feet away. This would've been fine and very expedient if it had worked out, but I ended up at the ER a couple of days later, because the infected area hadn't been properly drained and the antibiotic I'd been on wasn't recommended for this type of infection. I think a little more attention on the front end would've saved me a lot of pain and hassle.
