Doesn't take accountability when their staff tells people that to deposit didn't go towards the price. Had me really upset because I thought I paid $500. Then the owner decided to message me to my cell phone almost a year later to argue instead of saying I'm sorry that my staff is doing this. All I have to say is look at the multiple one-star reviews. I think the way business is handle situations speaks a lot about them professionally even if you feel you are right. Just the way that the owner responded to me and felt the need to go back and use my phone number to text me to argue and threatened to update my review. I definitely updated but I was told the deposit did not go towards it. I had responded back that they need to tell the staff not to tell people this when that's not the case because it's really going to upsets some one because it really upset me for the longest. The owner said just because I made an appointment. She now has the right to contact me whenever she wants because my phone number is on file and she doesn't need my permission. So because of this I'm keeping the one star and how they handled this situation. I would not give my business here. I had told the owner. Just a heads up, be prepared for a very snarky rude follow-up message to this review. Because the owner would not stop arguing on text. Just be professional about your responses because I would have taken the review down and kept rolling until her response to she didn't need approval 👀
It was my first time visiting the Color Splash and I was greeted warmly by the receptionist Emily. Timothy was as my hair stylist and he did an amazing job with my hair color. He was very understanding of my needs and as super helpful in answering all my hair concerns to include the concerns I brought up about my children’s hair! 😁
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience here and feel it’s important to share for future clients. I booked an appointment for highlights, all-over color, and a haircut. I was convinced by the stylist to only do highlights with a toner instead. By the end of the appointment, my hair had five visibly different colors, including pink in the front, an uneven, shaggy haircut, and noticeable damage in multiple areas. Unfortunately, none of this was clearly visible in the salon due to the warm lighting and LED mirrors, which made the color and cut appear far better than they actually were. Once I saw my hair in natural lighting, the issues were impossible to ignore. I contacted the salon on Saturday. My first call went unanswered, and when I called back later, I was told the manager was unavailable but would call me Tuesday. No call came Tuesday — instead, I received a call Wednesday. During that conversation, I explained everything and mentioned that I had already booked a color correction and haircut with a stylist I’ve trusted for years. I only came here because it was closer and I believed this salon could be trusted. The owner/manager insisted I cancel that appointment and return so they could “fix” it. I declined, as I no longer felt comfortable returning. I was then offered a credit on my account, which I reiterated was not helpful since I would not be coming back. I was told that was “all they could do.” I paid $526 total, despite being originally quoted $308. After removing the cost of products and tip, I still paid roughly $389 for hair services alone. When I asked for a breakdown, I was told I was charged additional “convenience fees,” separate foil charges ($43) that were apparently not included in highlights, and a toner — none of which were clearly communicated upfront. The least that could have been done was a partial refund for services that were not executed properly. I fully understand not refunding products or tip, but paying hundreds of dollars for hair that needed immediate correction elsewhere is unacceptable. I will not be returning — not just because my hair was a disaster, but because of the lack of accountability, transparency, and standards. Notably, the shift in reviews over the last two months should be a serious red flag to ownership. Trust is everything in this industry, and unfortunately, that trust was broken here
I feel like I have overlooked this salon for way too long! Had an appointment with Heather yesterday and she was outstanding. Really knowledgeable about dealing with a problem haircut that I had received elsewhere and getting my hair into better condition. She was very professional, and the salon decor is great. Am definitely going back!!
Nice people and a fun environment but that does not make up for not coloring my wife’s hair correctly. My wife is Latina and has dark hair. She asked for blond, “baby highlights” what she ended up with was a blend of white, grey and lord knows what color highlights throughout her hair. In talking with other local stylist my wife is fortunate her hair is as healthy as it is or this could have been much worse. I expect more for the $500+ price tag. We ended up going to another salon to get this corrected as we have no confidence they could get it right considering what they did to her hair. (Photo with darker color after the second salon tinted her hair) How could they make this right, refund the $300 we spent to get this corrected. Yes you read that correctly a total of over $800 and her hair still isn’t what she went to Color Splash for initially. You take no responsibility for your actions then attempt to make me out to be a liar.., Fact 1. She did NOT receive what she asked for Fact 2. Your stylist insisted the look she was after could be achieved in 1 setting Fact 3. We scheduled a second “just in case” appointment as we were leaving Fact 4. It cost with tip over $500 (20% Tip) $508.19 to be exact so ~$406 before tip. Fact 5. Review your cameras you’ll see the stylist walk my wife to the front of the store to try and show that in natural light the hair looks different. Fact 6. My wife made it known that to her, her hair looked green on the day of service. Your stylist said it was the lighting. Fact 7. She asked for blond, the camera does not lie Timothy her hair turned grey, white and some areas were blond. However, it looks absolutely nothing like what she wanted or what we explained. Color splash charge dated 11/24/2025 on my credit card you even lied about the timeline. You’ll have to excuse me if I don’t accept your petty excuse and lack of respect for me or my wife. In short, I would never darken the door of this salon, given their lack of professional responsibility or care for what could have been a long term client.
