I had a very uncomfortable experience hoping to consign some items with the shop in the late afternoon of December 11. The person I was dealing with was a young woman who was not Cris. My clothes included labels such as Belstaff, Alaia, Allegra Hicks, Whistles, AS98, Clements Ribeiro, Marni and others. She came across very smug and when I asked for feedback on why she would not take one piece or another, was only told either a) I have too much stock or b) I don't the customer for this. I asked about bringing one pair of shoes back during the summer and was informed they would not take it due to a very small smudge on the shoe. I suggested that I could fix it and was informed that she would remember that the smudge had been there, so she would never take it knowing that. Rather than gain a customer (after consigning stock), they lost a customer (and a potential consigner of summer Missoni and DvF and other clothing). My clothing is definitely colourful, but I had also specifically brought in more "interesting" clothing than boring items. Perhaps they only want animal prints and black or navy or white items.

This was truly one of the best shopping experiences I've had in a. long time. Large selection and incredible curation of designer pieces that were surprisingly reasonably priced. Nice display and organization to the store so it felt really fun to look through instead of overwhelming. The staff was friendly but laid back. Great customer service is getting more and more rare, and I feel they really have a genuine care for the experience here. Will definitely be back next time I am in San Fran!

Where do I begin? As a tourist on the hunt for the best designer consignment shops in SF, I hit the jackpot with this one. I was greeted warmly from the staff which I appreciated because I was in athletic wear, and sometimes when you walk in to such a classy place, they look down on you. Not the case here at all!! I loved how attentive each associate was with me. Showing interest in me and asking me questions, it absolutely added to the experience! The racks and racks of designer wear is what my dreams are made of- high end used clothing that is in great condition. I literally looked through everything on each rack! As I was scouring a rack of jackets and coats, I stopped in my tracks as I found this brand new Khaite blazer that had tags still attached! My heart was beating so fast, as if I just had my first kiss, it was that much of an important moment for me lol My room had so many items in it- from a Celine jacket, Chloe skirt, Lafayette148 NYC dress, Anine Bing blazer and of course, the Khaite blazer. I ended up getting the Khaite blazer and Lafayette dress, both of which the associate (don’t remember her name, but she was so knowledgeable and in college from what I remember) bargained on the price with me. I left feeling that I accomplished my mission of getting that one piece that will be in my closet for a while and I feel good about the price! Thank you to the ladies working on that day and if you are local or a tourist, please stop by. You will not be disappointed!

5 stars – A secret gem in the middle of San Francisco! Chris Consignment is a sweet little shop on Polk Street and it’s a treasure trove for fashionistas. Though small it’s got one of the best, most curated designer inventories I’ve seen in SF at all different price points. Whether you’re a local or just visiting this should be on your shopping list – it’s even worth a special trip! The staff are all warm, knowledgeable and helpful. A special shout out to Annika who makes my visits extra fun with her great energy and chats about designers and fashion :)
