It was a great pleasure to be a customer of Damhead. The selling lady, 3rd year student of Horticulture at the University of Edinburgh, went extra mile to advise my mum and I on the trees: she even suggested the best spots to plant them after seeing the photos of my garden! Not only she described different species and let us taste some fruits, but she stayed after her working hours to get all the data for the delivery and helped us chose the right fertiliser. I bought four trees and they are growing just great😃. The only drawback was the guy who delivered them and not even bothered to carry them to the back of the house, seeing little woman and her elderly mother Shame on you, no manners.
Visited this gorgeous garden centre for the first time, today with my sister. FABULOUS!! Such friendly knowledgeable staff, they clearly care about the quality of plants 🪴 and so helpful. A well laid out nursery with lots of interesting varieties of healthy plants. Sensibly priced with a range of plant sizes for sale. They also have posies of home grown cut flowers, you can see their growing field to the right as you enter the nursery. We will definitely be back, a nursery for plant lovers.
Damhead was an experience I look forward to repeating. Beautifully organized plants, florals, and much more. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. My partner and I were allowed to meander about the property freely, with no pressuring sales techniques. The quality of plant life was the best we've seen this spring. It is obvious that the Damhead Nursery cares and understands the process of growing plants locally. I LOVED the abundance of native plant life. Happy new customer, Kathy
Friendly and well stocked. Very knowledgeable and affable owner that takes time to listen and suggest. Local knowledge is invaluable. Not only are the plants logically displayed (soft fruits, perennials etc ..) but one can see they suit the local climate, something way too many other garden centres often overlook.
A lovely little hidden gem. I have bought a few plants here and they are still looking amazing. Local grown plants perfect for Scottish gardens. The staff are always very helpful but also leave you to have a nice wander around
