DCanter staff and friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! You can actually get help picking wine because they know what they're selling. I appreciate the smaller selection (it is a boutique, not a big box store) because that means a better experience for us. We also joined their Concierge service and enjoy getting new and different wines once a month!

Service was not welcoming, which led me not to purchase anything. Yet, love the concept of the wine boutique & tasting room under one roof. There’s a great selection of international wines, glassware & novelty items. The offering of delivery, a personal sommelier & wine concierge is Vino innovation at its best. Perhaps on my next visit to my hometown, I’ll give them another try.
My wife and I are HUGE fans of this wine shop. It's on the main strip in Barracks Row near the Eastern Market Metro. The owner takes wine seriously and presents his shop well and can recommend the perfect wine for you specifically. My wife and I came here right before our Croatia trip and they pointed out their best Croatian wine. On Sunday afternoons, they have free wine tastings in their tasting room. They also have an affordable wine club for Capital Hill residents.
