This is a great gym with amazing equipment (lots of Prime and Atlantis). It really is a weight lifting gym, so that has to be what you're looking for. The bulk of the machines are plate loaded. While there are a ton of squat racks (nice!), there is only one of everything else and a fair number of combo machines. So you will be able to do any lift you want, but you might have to re-arrange your workout a bit to skip waiting. Everything is clean and impeccably maintained.
My experience of fitsquad has been incredible. The gym is clean, and I never worry about not being able to use machines. Everyone is welcoming & friendly & you can tell the trainers are passionate about what they do. I’ve been training with Mathias for a few months now & this is the most consistent I have been in the gym but also in chasing my fitness goals. He’s been essential in helping build my confidence in the gym & the strength that comes with it. Mathias provides the level of support you would hope for from a PT, he’s very professional, accommodating & truly cares about the why behind the goal of his clients to help remind them in the moments it matters. His philosophy that emphasizes balance in his clients day to day makes it easy for training & nutrition to become a sustainable & long lasting shift to anyone’s lifestyle.

The variety and quality of the equipment are excellent, and everything is always super clean and well-maintained. You can tell they really care about keeping the environment organized and hygienic. I also really appreciate their policy of keeping the gym less crowded. It makes the whole place feel more private, calm, and comfortable, and I never have to wait for machines. As someone who didn’t have any prior athletic background, working with a personal trainer here has been a game changer. My trainer is extremely professional, supportive, and attentive always correcting my form and helping me make real progress. Honestly, joining this gym and starting personal training has been one of the best decisions I made in 2025. If you’re looking for a clean, high-quality, well-equipped gym with knowledgeable trainers, I highly recommend this place.
The machines are excellent, and always kept in an amazing state. They're constantly looking for ways to improve the place and do invest in new machines. There's never a wait, it's never crowded and the people are friendly. Great gym culture. Fitsquad has really put in the work to build the best gym in all of downtown Toronto. If you are a serious lifter looking for the best facility in downtown, or someone that is truly ready to take that next step in their fitness journey, Fitsquad is the place to be.
I've been going to fitsquad for a month and I like the gym a lot. I have an off-peak hours membership and been going almost every day. I had a goodlife membership nearby before this and the switch was worth it. The equipment is very very nice, there are not that many people at the gym and it has a similar sized weightlifting area compared to the gyms nearby. Its very inviting to go to! Every machine is top of the line and they have special attachments like handles and bars, which make it more enjoyable to workout with. Fitsquad is great and worth it for me!
