I walked in to Global Wine and Spirits today looking to stock up on some wine and liquor, as my girlfriend and I are regular customers. A very kind lady greeted us at the door offering a tasting of Jameson whiskies. After tasting the black barrel, I decided I wanted to buy a bottle. The price was on sale for $35.99 with a rebate. At the register I was charged full price for the bottle at $53.99. I said there was a mistake and walked back over to the woman giving samples and she said, “No, that’s the price, take this,” and gave me the price and barcode. It still rang up wrong. The Jameson representative took the issue to what appeared to be the manager on duty. His name was Gene. After admitting he priced out the wrong sized bottle, and admitted they had no stock in the smaller bottle, instead of honoring his mistake, he offered to sell me the bottle for $45. $10 over what he was advertising. I said no thank you, and asked for a full refund. For as much business we give Global Wine and Spirits, I was extremely disappointed that Gene tried to save $10 rather than admitting his mistake and instead chose to lose a lifetime customer. Buy your wine and spirits elsewhere. There are plenty of other venders in the area that value their customers.
Love this place since they moved over to this larger spot its even better. It's not as big as Premier but it sometimes has better or different things you wont fund there.. They are very friendly as well it's clean and easy to find things on the shelves. It's in a good spot too...and easy to get to from most places in the city. It's pretty much my favorite liquor store!!
A very nice size liquor store, with a wide range of local wines. Customer service is very helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are on par with other local liquor stores in the area.
