All these 1 star reviews are people who don’t shop vintage often because this is a true vintage shop - met the owner, wasn’t rude like others are portraying him to be, I made a trade for some pieces I had, in exchange for an arcteryx bag and beanie, he was like any other vintage head i’ve ever met, knows his stuff, knows what sells, and was fair. One of the few vintage shops i’m glad I stopped by when visiting - the layout of the store is cool and there were a-lot of awesome pieces. Hoping this review spreads some 5 star love!
The tall guy wearing glasses was off putting. The staff guy was nice. I bought a vintage designer bag from them. Will return only if the friendly staff guy is there. If its just the owner, im not stepping in. Bad energy I picked up. Not a very warm or friendly vibe he gives off.
On my most recent visit to Vancouver i had come across this shop, it looked very intriguing and like an awesome opportunity to find some cool pieces. As I was browsing I began to catch an "off-vibe" from this place, I found some great pieces that I was ready to buy. However once I over heard a staff member complain about how his pieces are too valuable to be sitting on the shelves for more that 24hrs and people didn't appreciate his work. I began to second guess my decision of walking into the store. I noticed an entire second floor of merchandise and upon me asking if I was able to continue to browse, I was rudely told no. I decided it was time to go. I looked at the reviews after my visit and realized that my intuition was correct.
Was here a few months ago and the staff at that time were super friendly. It was evening, and I browsed the downstairs no problem. They helpfully told me that I can go upstairs to see more stuff. I guess they've changed owners/management since then? Because I just got the same rude guy as everyone else. He seemed mentally off and acted like he was hoarding everything inside for himself. The upstairs was suddenly off limits, too, and I keep seeing conflicting explanations about that in these other reviews via the responses by the owner: it's closed, people aren't allowed up there, it's storage, etc. Very strange.
I usually don’t write reviews . but the dude that works there tall and skinny said something VERY OFF PUTTING . My brother was trying on a leather jacket that he liked but I told him there’s more stuff upstairs if he wanted to check it out first before deciding to buy the jacket . So he put the leather jacket away back on the hanger . And as we were walking upstairs he goes “there are expensive stuff up there , so make sure to put things away nicely .” We were sooo confused by that comment , the only thing we can think of is maybe my brother didn’t zip up the jacket on the hanger ? He definitely lost a sale there because if he didn’t make such a rude comment my brother would have gotten the jacket . We just wanted to get out of there ASAP. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE . NEVER RECCOMENDING THIS PLACE TO ANYONE .
