I had a very unpleasant experience at the LensCrafters location at UTC Shopping Mall. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, which is also when the store opens. I arrived at 10:05 AM—only five minutes late. I waited about 10 minutes and then asked the receptionist how long the wait would be. The reception girl Jamie said “You are 5 minutes late, they are “setting things up” for you.” with mad face and disrespectful tone, like I done something wrong. So I waited another 10 minutes. When I asked again because I had other commitments, the receptionist (Jamie) was extremely rude and finally told me that since I was five minutes late, they had given my appointment to a walk-in who arrived 10 minutes early (The store opened at 10:00am, which I arrived 10:05 am). This information should have been communicated to me immediately instead of making me wait and giving misleading responses. Being five minutes late does not justify giving away a scheduled appointment without informing the patient, and the attitude I received was extremely rude and unprofessional. I don’t even know how this girl can be hire at the customer service. If I had been told the truth upfront, I would not have wasted my time waiting. She ruined the whole customer experience and I hope the manager can train her better at how to service the customer. Overall, very disappointing customer service and poor communication.
Appointment went well and on time. Relatively quick. The medical side was 5 stars; however, the retail side was poor. I felt pressured during the checkout for add-ons I did not ask for, warranty etc. I then got an email saying my glasses were delayed. I gave it 2 weeks and heard nothing. I called and checked and they said it will be here shortly and we will call you. I waited longer and they never called. I called back and they said Oh yeah they are here, you can come pick them up. Disappointing customer service.
I had a wonderful experience today at LensCrafters! The eye exam was thorough with all the latest technology. The LensCrafters associate Kathy was very helpful and knowledgeable and quickly picked out the perfect frame and had everything ready to purchase with my vision insurance. I highly recommend Mission Valley Family Optometry and Mission Valley LensCrafters!
Very mixed experience with this location. Was there on a Saturday, which is pretty busy, and Michelle was very helpful in helping me scope some frames. She really went above and beyond. I was actually going to order a pair of glasses and came back Monday, only to be completely ignored by staff for 20 minutes straight. It was NOT busy. I turned around and left. There are other places that actually take you seriously as a customer. I would say everything really depends on the person you get.
I had the best experience buying new contacts and glasses thanks to Jerry. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable and efficient, but he also went above and beyond to get me a great discount. He made what can sometimes be a tedious process feel quick and seamless. His friendly and cool attitude made it even better. I'll definitely be coming back because of his great service.
