Highly recommend! The one day retreat is wonderful to practice meditating techniques as well as enhance your practice. Even if one has never meditated before, the one day retreat is a perfect first step. Venerable Bhante Ransi and the staff are very patient and kind. This place is a great resource to further your meditation and or Theravada Buddhist practices. It felt like I found a spiritual home.

This was my first meditation retreat and it was very well done! When one hears of a “day long meditation” retreat it can sound intimidating but all the different meditation styles were nicely spaced out so it was not overwhelming. Very good introduction for those wanting to get into meditation. I also learned some buddhist principles along with the meditation techniques that i now try to follow in my day to day life. This meditation retreat has truly enriched my life and I plan to come back soon!

Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend a one-day meditation retreat under the guidance of Venerable Bhante Ransi. It was my first time meditating in a group and also my first time learning directly from a Buddhist monk. I was truly moved by the entire experience. Bhante shared the teachings in such a simple, clear, and compassionate way that I could easily understand and connect with them. I’ve already started applying what I learned during the retreat in my daily life, and it has brought me a sense of calm and mindfulness. The arrangements throughout the day were excellent - from the peaceful environment to the kindness of the volunteers and the delicious food that was lovingly prepared. Bhante continues to offer guidance even after the retreat, answering questions and helping deepen my understanding of the Dhamma, for which I am very grateful. May this temple, Bhante, and all the volunteers be blessed with peace, happiness, and abundant merits for the wonderful work they do in spreading the Dhamma.
