⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cozy neighborhood gem 💎! Stopped into Mountain House Café after a yoga class at Blue Sky Yoga Studio 🧘🏻 and it was exactly the pick-me-up I needed. ☕✨ Nechama H. (Jew from the Lou! 🎙️ 💻) made us a special Café Miel 🍯 — sweet, rich, beautifully crafted with almond milk and a touch of cinnamon dust. Absolutely perfect. The space feels local, warm, and cozy, the kind of spot where you immediately feel at home. Big shout-out to owner John, whose kindness and presence really foster a genuine sense of community. ❤️ Highly recommend this place if you want great coffee, good vibes, and a true neighborhood feel. 🌿
By far the coziest, most inviting, and classic home owned coffee shop in this area. The big open windows, plants, exposed brick, wood floors, local art, and calm coffee shop music fill the space with warmth. Not to mention their coffee selection is incredible and incredible tasting. Worth the visit if you are looking for a new spot! Staff were so personal and kind. Thank you for making my day MountainHouse Cafe!
We ordered iced mocha latte, salted caramel latte, a apple pistachio bundt cake and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They serve the in store drinks in the cutest glass cups. The drinks are delicious perfect blend of strong and sweet. Cake had the creaminess of pumpkin pie but the flavors of cinnamon, and apple. This is my favorite type of cookie in my opinion it was a little dry but still good. My only complaint was the paper straws but atleast they are good for the environment.
I am super particular about my coffee shops, and have never found one with great coffee and a great filling breakfast (not just pastry and sweets). Great breakfast croissant and great cappuccino, super friendly and kind workers...you never know what you're gonna get these days! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, a beautiful, gracious dog came running out from the back and sat by the front door to greet each patron. This place feels like I'm being served in my own living room in the best way possible. 5 STARS
It is a nice little place and what is probably considered an up and coming neighborhood. Parking is along the curb if you could find it. There are probably about eight spots along the side of the building. The coffee beans are not roasted on site but they do seem to be a decent brand. The brand is called 8&R which says to be out of Nashville, Tennessee. The person working here has no idea what they carry and had to read the bags to even know what he was selling. I imagine they mostly just sell cups of coffee and food here. I bought two bags of coffee and with taxes and a $2 tip that came to $50. Pretty expensive. I can buy just as good coffee in the same amount of ounces online for about 12 to $17 per bag not $20 plus. One good site would be klatch roasting. I wanted one bag ground and I guess he didn't understand and thought I just wanted a cup out of it. And then once it's done being ground they have no way to reseal the bags. Some places I've been to they have his little metal clips that they got attached the top; I've even seen places wrap a rubber band around it to keep it closed. I didn't try their menu or anything like that. I'm on a strict eating regimen and can't risk buying food that I don't know the nutrition facts for
