Josh Jackson provided outstanding plumbing service when he came for my clogged tub. He was thorough and efficient. He checked all possible causes before making a diagnosis instead of rushing to a quick fix. I genuinely appreciated how he explained everything clearly and in a way that was easy to understand. What stood out most was he noticed and pointed out other maintenance issues that could cause problems down the line, helping me prevent future damage rather than just solving the immediate issue. Throughout the entire visit, Josh was patient, kind, and very informative. I felt confident in the work he did and the advice he gave. We were SO impressed with Nick's relative to the installation of our new HVAC. First, our appointment window with them was 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The crew arrived at 7:50 am with all of our new equipment ! This kind of promptness literally NEVER occurs as most reading this will concur. Most of the time, one is lucky to have a service team show up any sooner than the very end of a window and most of the time , without all of the necessary equipment and tools. Not Nick's! A+ for promptness! Next, they had all of the old equipment out and the new equipment in and running by 3:00 pm! And, when they finished , they swept and vacuumed the attic and ladder leading to the attic, and the floor! The new equipment is very efficient and quiet and all done with the utmost professionalism ! We highly recommend Nick's and we certainly will use them for all of HVAC needs in the future! On Friday, the 2nd I had technician William Peterson come out because the gate valve in the water cut off to my townhouse broke in the closed position, so we had no water to the house. He looked at the issue and verbally told me that the repair would cost approx. $785 but due to the late hour, he was not able to fix it that day. I showed him the front area where the meter cutoff would approx. be located, it was buried by a Centerpoint contactor while they were doing work. He told me this would not be an issue, and they would be able to find it with a shovel the next day. I said great and to get me on the schedule for as early as they could the next day so we could get water back to the house. On Saturday the 3rd, technician Willie Johnson showed up and immediately told me that the previous estimate given by William was incorrect and that instead of $785 it was now $1875 for the repair. I was blown away and asked why I would be quoted on thing Friday and another thing Saturday. His response was he had no idea why William would give me that quote and that if I wanted the repair done it was now going to cost an additional $1095. He also informed me that it would costs $750 for them to locate the water main even after William said locating it wouldn't be an issue and never mentioned an additional charge. At this point we haven't had water for 24 hours, so I had no choice but to bite the bullet and pay the almost $2000 difference from my Friday quote to my Saturday quote. Needless to say, I would never use Nick's plumbing again and would warn anyone I know in the area to choose a different plumbing company.
Had sewer line issue under slab caused by foundation settling on 44 year old home. Nicks plumbing ran camera down line generated proposal to repair. The quote seemed expensive at first glance but I did not consider amount of work required. The guys (5) showed up at the appointment time the next morning at 9:30 and all 5 worked non stop tunneling 10’ under home. Repaired problem by replacing sections that were broken. Ordered city inspectors to come inspect. Once inspector came and approved Nicks people came and refilled the tunnel area per third party engineer instructions. Everyone was professional and communicated status over the 3 day period that took to complete. The system was operating correctly within 8 hours of their arrival first day then additional days arranging plumbing inspectors.
I recomend Nick’s Plumbing and Air Conditioning, I was referred by a friend. I was able to get a service technician for emergency, same day and he was very professional. I needed the unit working again after it cut off mysteriously and the service tech, Dylan, spotted the real cause of my wall units air leak problem. He returned within the week to amend previous installation of A/C wall unit that was not properly taped up over the coils, thus the cause of the leaks. Dylan assessed the situation, provided a root cause, and then came to do the repair successfully (see picts). I am glad I joined Nick’s Membership Club, better rates for good service.
