All doors were locked and didn't see anyone inside, almost 2 hours before closing time.
I have a membership with Palm Beach Tan out of Abilene, but can tan at any PBT. This was my first time going to a different salon and the experience was less than ideal. I wasn’t greeted and when Hailey (I think) did speak to me acted so annoyed that I felt uncomfortable. Once she found my account all she asked was “what do you want?” I told her what I normally do in Abilene and she just put me in a bed without any questions. I just wanted to get out of there honestly, but once I was headed out after my session I noticed that the bed she put me in wasn’t the same as I told her. So I got far less time than I should have. Just unpleasant overall.
I was in town for work back in February. I wanted to buy a few tanning sessions, and the employee convinced me to just get the month package cause it would equal out to the same amount of money, if not less, and I could go as much as I want while I’m in town. Checked my bank account yesterday and apparently I’ve been getting charged a recurring monthly fee that I was unaware of. That’s 3 months of a membership I had not been using nor was I near any Palm Beach Tanning salons to do so. When I called to get it straightened out, I was told they would not give me any sort of refund. Yes, I did sign paperwork that may have given me a more accurate explanation of what I was purchasing. However, when I’m being told information verbally and am in a hurry just to go about my day, I was not thinking about reading the fine print. In total, I wasted over $150 since I was charged for 3 extra months. I think it would’ve been courteous to at least refund me for a month. But that’s how places like this get you, I guess.
The people working the front desk the last 3 times I’ve visited were so patient and kind when I had so many questions! They let me know the best way to achieve the tan I wanted and gave me a rundown of the beds and lotions available. They also let me know of promotions they were running and how to snag a great deal! I’m so excited to be a Palm Beach Tanner!!
