I am 3 weeks into my kick start programme at Perform and can already feel the benefits. Having not set foot in a gym for a few years it was always going to be a little bit daunting starting again but Debbie and Peter have made it easy. With a strong emphasis on correct technique I have found the training to be of a high standard and the gym to be very welcoming. I would highly recommend it to everyone whether you have never set foot in a gym, looking to restart or a change to your current gym.
More Than Just a Gym – It’s a Community I joined Perform Functional Fitness in April 2024, originally just planning to complete the 6-week kickstart… but I’m still here! That alone speaks volumes. The setup is excellent — clean, well-equipped, and welcoming to all fitness levels. But what truly makes Perform stand out are Debbie and Peter. Debbie is full of energy and positivity. She’s incredibly supportive and knows how to push you in just the right way. Her attention to detail and genuine care for each member’s progress is inspiring. Peter is calm, knowledgeable, and motivating. His coaching style is clear and effective, and he’s always ready with tailored advice to help you reach your goals. Together, they’ve created an environment that’s both challenging and uplifting. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be supported, inspired, and actually enjoy working out — this is it. Highly recommend!
I have just finished my 4th week of my 6 week kick start journey with Perform and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have never been to a gym before , I didn't like the thought of it being so busy and not knowing what to do. I was quite nervous at the start but this quickly diminished as everyone is so welcoming and friendly and there are no more than eight in any one session. Debbie and Peter are brilliant trainers , they talk and guide you through every workout ensuring you are doing things correctly and safely so you always get full satisfaction from your weekly sessions. You also get a nutritional workshop session included within your six week kick start. I have felt stronger and happier in myself. I am eating so much more healthier than before and I have so much more energy. If you are like me and quite nervous at the thought of going the gym then Perform is perfect for you , you won't regret joining.
I have been a member of Perform for around 4 years and I really enjoy the sessions. Debbie and Peter know are very good at what they do and I have always felt very welcome. The other members are nice and it's a very pleasant community. I've used "regular" gyms in the past and never got very far in terms of results and would talk myself out of doing the difficult exercises. Perform is different in the sense you work to a well balanced program that delivers great results over time. If you are thinking of giving it a go, just do it.
