On multiple occasions, I’ve dealt with two ladies there or (females) they’re hardly (ladies) when returning Amazon items. I must say these are the most bitter and rude associates you’re ever gonna deal with. It’s not an isolated incident. They’re extremely rude. They act as if they offended that you’re there when you ask for a receipt for your items you’re returning they literally treat you like a piece of crap. On other occasions, I have gotten screwed out of return money because I didn’t ask for a receipt and somehow in the system or database I didn’t get credited my refund so I’m adamant that I always get a receipt to make sure I have proof of the drop off Well, when you do that here at the Staples and there are two associates they’re both females they are the most bitter, rude obnoxious put off associates I’ve ever dealt with. I’m 52 years old. I’m a business owner and I’ve been in customer service for years. I would fire these people immediately. I’m not coming back to the Staples. Just miserable and rude to the core. They need to go!
I wanted to share feedback about an upsetting experience I had today with a Staples associate named Melody, who was handling Amazon returns. From the beginning of our interaction, Melody appeared visibly irritated and was extremely rude. When I was pulling up my QR codes—something I had prepared in advance but accidentally tapped the wrong screenshot—it took me only a few seconds to find the correct one. Even so, she acted annoyed and impatient. At one point, I believed a QR code hadn’t been scanned, and when I asked, she responded in a very rude tone insisting she already had. At the end of my returns, she angrily threw my box of shoes into the large returns bin. My husband, who was standing with me, even commented on how unnecessary that was. I told her I hoped she had a better day, and she snapped back, “Yeah, I hope you do too,” in a hostile tone. When I asked for my receipt, she dismissed me and told me to go to another register. As I moved to the front to get my receipt, I saw her talking about me to another customer, shaking her head, and glaring back at me. Another associate, Karen, helped me retrieve my receipt because some items were missing. While I was with Karen, Melody looked over and made a face at me from across the counter. I said, “Are you seriously making faces at me?” and she replied, “No, I’m way more mature than that,” while continuing to mumble under her breath. After leaving, I looked at the Google reviews for this location, and I noticed at least three separate negative reviews within the past year describing similar rude behavior from Melody. Seeing those comments made my experience even less surprising, and honestly more concerning that the pattern appears ongoing. This entire interaction was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and unacceptable. No matter what kind of day someone is having, this is not how customers should be treated. I’m a loyal Staples customer, and I have never experienced anything like this. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the store.
Great experience today. Went in to recycle some toner cartridges and drop off an Amazon return. Kaleigh (I hope my spelling is close enough for her supervisor to acknowledge their superstar) handled recycling and then hustled over to Amazon return station. Friendly, helpful, charming, attentive she was simply delightful. Staples is lucky to have such a terrific representative.
Had to return an Amazon package here, walked in with my hands full with 2 large boxes walked past the cashier because I saw an Amazon sign in the back. Got all the way back there passing another associate that didn't say anything to find out it's only pick up in the back of the store. Then I go back to the front and ask to point me in the right direction. He points to the corner right next to cashier in the front of the store. When he does come over he scans my QR, scans my items and that's it. I asked if there was a receipt and he rudely says do you want a receipt? I was planning on shopping for items for my small business while I did my drop off but with the poor customer service I'll spend my money elsewhere.
⸻ The business cards I had made came out great, and I’m very happy with the quality. I’m giving this a five-star review. When I first came in, I wasn’t sure what was going on and jumped to my own conclusions. Looking back, I realize it was just a matter of communication. From my perspective, acknowledging customers and letting them know what’s happening goes a long way—it’s something I try to do in my own business as well. The general manager was kind and gracious, and he personally helped me and made sure I got my order. I really appreciate that, and I’ll definitely come back.
