We’ve always enjoyed the food at Texas de Brazil, and the quality and variety are consistently good. However, the atmosphere feels very “in and out,” with a strong focus on moving people through quickly rather than creating a relaxed dining experience. Unlike many restaurants, they don’t really do anything to acknowledge special occasions, which is a bit disappointing especially for a place often chosen for celebrations. My husband and I have eaten here several times and will likely return for the food, but I would love to see them offer something extra or a small gesture for special occasions to make the experience feel more personal.
Emily was our server tonight and was absolutely exceptional with her performance and positive attitude she made sure to pre bus our table and ensured we didn’t drink ice. The gentleman preparing the meat did a fantastic job. As someone who works in a restaurant i know it can be rough but ill tell you this crew made it look easy I want to say thank you to management for stopping by and doing a table touch it made us feel extremely welcome. Food was perfect and absolutely delicious they have a wide variety of meats to choose from as well as a salad bar full of great choices
Five Stars! I've been to Texas de Brazil in Richmond three or four times now, and it's become one of my favorite spots for a great meal. The Short Pump location has a classy but comfortable atmosphere that works whether you're celebrating something or just treating yourself on a random weekend. The gauchos really make the experience. They're constantly circling with perfectly cooked cuts, and they're always friendly and attentive. The flank steak and picanha are my personal favorites, but honestly everything comes off those skewers tasting incredible. If you like your meat cooked a certain way, just ask—they're happy to accommodate. Don't sleep on the salad bar either. It's way more than salads—the imported cheeses, smoked salmon, and lobster bisque alone are worth the trip. And the warm cheese bread keeps coming to the table throughout the meal. It's definitely a place to come hungry and pace yourself. The continuous service means there's always another round of something delicious headed your way. I keep coming back because the quality is consistently solid, and the staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you have a good experience. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates great meat and great service.
What one can say about Texas de Brazill. Great salad b a r, great meats....but how much can one eat? Salad bar alone a and you sre full. Add meats, all kinds of meats, of good servers walking sround and pretty soon you have no room for much else. You can go red instead if green....but were is the fun in doing so by avoiding meats 🍖 😉. Pricey for a night out. It can get out of hand pretty fast.
Strongly recommend reservations! Service is excellent. Waiting for your choice of meat to circle back around can take time. The restaurant was packed (good for the restaurant!). Salad was good… the amount of people made is a little more difficult to maneuver around.
