Shall I compare thee to a winter’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate than a chocolate bar that I will love, and with thee lead my life. Without further ado let’s begin this new year’s review. The CHOCOLATE DISPENSARY (est. 2024) is a new charming corner chocolate and cafe shop in Echo Park neighborhood of LA. I have driven past by this neighborhood for years and recently discovered this delightful chocolate shop. I stopped by and was warmly greeted by Kala, one of the owners. She gave a brief overview of the store and what to expect. Customers can sample some of their chocolates just ask a staff. They have a large collection of craft chocolate with over 1,000 products from 110+ makers around the globe. From Bars to truffles to spreads to baking to drinking chocolate that await customers at this shop. I perused every chocolate display stand and shelf in this store before buying. Truth be told, I was overwhelmed at first like a kid in WILLY WONKAS factory. Hehe. I was very impressed that all of the world’s high end brands are in this one LA shop. You can tell from the individual wrappings and design. I ended up buying two chocolate bars; Auro Chocolate (The Philippines) & Askinose Chocolate (Tanzania). Both were very exquisite in taste which benefits my Shakespearean heart. Prices of these chocolates vary on the kind of brand you going to buy. Furthermore, they have some limited pastries, chocolate coffee and a tea bar at the rear of the shop. Plenty of street parking. Staff were fantastic. Collectively, this is a great shop for chocolate lover. Overall, I had a good experience at this shop. I recommend you visit ‘em.
What a gem! Drove all the way from the Westside in traffic - totally worth it! Did the chocolate tasting and omakase hot chocolate flight with my husband and teenager. Everyone had a great time finding their new favorites. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My only complaint is that I wish they had a location on the Westside. Highly recommend!
Wonderful chocolate experience!! they have so many chocolates from all around the world, all kinds of different countries and all kinds of different flavors. My favorite in the drink menu was the French hot chocolate sort of like a shot of espresso. It was absolutely creamy and amazing. The vibes of this place is very cozy and like a coffee shop or should I say a chocolate shop? The workers were very friendly and kind. a great experience overall.
Amazing chocolatier in Echo Park. I sent my mother in Cleveland some browned butter bourbon caramels. Quote “These are unlike any caramels I’ve ever had. Decadent!” I’ve attached pictures Mom sent. One’s missing because she couldn’t resist! They arrived promptly, exquisitely packaged, and with a hand-written note from Kala, one of the owners! The rest of my holiday shopping is happening here. Now, the only question is, how soon can I get over there to peruse their Wonka-esque (but better!) assortment. Kala, thank you and save me some chocolate!💝🍫☕️🤤❤️💕
Lovely selection of chocolates corner to corner. Lovely atmosphere, really feels like the place was made with love and care. The chocolate tasting is a must, genuinely something I highly recommend to explore the unknown. I spent a good among of time really tasting chocolate, as if it were my first time.
