This is an excellent place for both beginners and advanced students. The instructors and staff are extremely kind and helpful. Even the advanced students in the adult classes have been great for our teenager daughter to work with. I would highly recommend Way of Jiu Jitsu to anyone wanting to learn how to defend themselves, build self confidence, as well as have respect for others.
Our 11 year old daughter has been a student of Way of Jiu-jitsu Aurora for over 2 years and it has been a wonderful experience! She is stronger and more disciplined than before starting Jiu-jitsu, and she is proud of her progress in the sport. Thanks to her awesome team of coaches in Quynh, Charles and Professor.
The Way has been a great experience for my 14 year old when he joined a year ago. As a first time BJJ adventure, the starting process was so easy due to Quynh, who runs the operations. She was so accommodating and responsive when I had those upfront questions about how to get started, what classes were available, the gear, and how a student progresses through the belts, etc. My son who was 14 and about 6 ft tall was put into the adult classes, but what he found out was that the community is so helpful. At the beginning he couldn't even get the warm up moves down, but with the instructors' patience and everyones help, he quickly assimilated. The whole program has been such a great activity in teaching him how to fail, but keep training and working hard to get better through hard work and persistence. The high level program that Professor Nobuo has set up and the community that has been created has been fabulous for his work ethic and building his confidence in being able to manage himself. Very appreciative of how their program is run. Thank you!!
I did a private lesson with The Warrior in the Garden himself, professor Nobuo, and I brought my nephew here to get started with BJJ. The private was excellent and he managed to match my abilities and also my nephew’s (he’s 5 and I’m 45) at the same time during drills. The adult class I came to was great, but the kids class was sensational. It was a huge class, lots of kids, excellent instructors who really cared. This is the best place I could have wanted to have found for a kids class. Dr. Quynh who runs The Way is a pediatric dentist on the side(!) so she knows kids and knows how to connect with them. The Way is lucky to have her and I’m lucky to have visited!
We did not have a good experience. We do not recommend this place to anyone. These photos and teachers are fake, this is not the school, it looks nothing like these photos posted. Poor service.
