We just got carryout from Yama Chen’s and absolutely demolished it. The spring rolls were the best we’d ever had (not just because they were complimentary and we didn’t order them). The sushi rolls were phenomenal, creative, and fresh. And they gave us a free piece of cheesecake, too! The inside of the restaurant is super cool so we’ll definitely be back to eat inside.
My husband and I came here during our one night stay in the Virginia Beach area and absolutely loved this place! We had a warm welcome from the staff when we walked in. It is decorated so nice and it is clean. I loved every roll we got, but my number one favorite was the Ironman. The rolls were large and fresh. Our waitress was wonderful!
I ordered through DoorDash but it was so great that I wanted to review here also. Well packaged, high quality , tasty food. They omitted my extra ginger sauce but somehow I got a specialty roll "on the house". They even took care to note that on the box so I wouldn't think it was a mistake. The sealed and branded package with the chopsticks, napkin and toothpicks is a nice touch. It was my first time ordering from Yama Chen's and I'm very impressed!
The service was very attentive from the beginning, and they offered us edamame while we waited for the main dishes. Everything we ordered, from the gyoza and shrimp tempura to the rolls, was delicious. As the cherry on top, they even offered us a small dessert consisting of two pieces of cheesecake. Highly recommended!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I took my buddy here for his birthday and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Honestly, this is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had—and I don’t hand out 10/10 ratings often. The quality and freshness of the food were outstanding, and the service was just as impressive. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even surprising us by putting a few items on the house. That kind of hospitality really makes a difference. Thank you so much for making the night special. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and come check this place out—you won’t regret it!
