We really, REALLY enjoy coming here for brunch on the weekends. Their main dishes are fantastic. I usually opt for the risotto and my better half got the chicken skewers this time around which he enjoyed. If you want to keep things light, a baked good along with their soup of the day will more than suffice. Since we've been going here I've had their carrot, vegetable, and zucchini soups... all of them great with generous portions. If you're just in the mood for coffee and a pastry, their lattes and chais are consistently good and their opera cake is otherworldly along with their other desserts. We moved here from LA six months ago and initially struggled with the quality and variety of restaurants here, but Yava has been a godsend. If you're looking for a hip brunch spot with a culturally diverse menu, simple stuff such as French toast or pancakes, or a just a delightful patisserie, this place has all of your bases covered.

YAVA Bakery is such a gem! It’s a beautiful French and Mediterranean spot—perfect for breakfast, lunch, or grabbing a cake, pastry, or fresh bread. The space is extremely clean, the food is incredibly fresh, and the customer service is outstanding. The overall vibe is very positive and welcoming. I ordered the spinach berry salad and added beef for protein, and it was absolutely excellent. They also offer specialty coffees and teas, which makes it an even better experience. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

We were on our way from Fresno to Yosemite with our friends, and we stopped by a bakery in the morning to grab breakfast. It was such a great choice—the server was really polite and full of cheerful morning energy. I ordered an herbal tea that was great, and my husband got French toast, which ended up being the best French toast I’ve ever stolen a bite of from him! We really enjoyed it before heading off to beautiful Yosemite.

Yava has a very warm and inviting atmosphere. With indoor and outdoor seating they offer breakfast and lunch as well as a tasty and colorful selection of cakes and pastries. On our visit today we tried the blueberry cake and lemon meringue tart. We will be back in the future to buy a full size lemon meringue tart for a special occasion, it was that good! To drink we had a hot chocolate and a latte, both were beautifully crafted and the perfect temperature. Friendly staff clean restaurant inside and out. Always an enjoyable time at Yava Bakery.

I recently stopped by this bakery after hearing so many great things, and I have to say the presentation of their desserts is absolutely stunning. Every treat looks like a piece of art, and it’s clear there’s a lot of craftsmanship and attention to detail put into their work. The atmosphere inside is very high-end, beautifully designed, and definitely gives the feel of an upscale artisan bakery. As for pricing, it does match that elevated experience, so expect artisan bakery prices. Personally, the flavors were a bit more subtle and less sweet than what I usually enjoy, so it wasn’t quite the right fit for my taste. That said, I can appreciate the quality and creativity, and I think anyone who enjoys refined, less-sweet desserts would absolutely love it. Overall, it’s a gorgeous spot with impressive desserts, just not exactly my style flavor-wise.
